The Teacher develops material and lesson plans, conducts classroom instruction and evaluates and assess student performance. The incumbent meets with parents, interprets student progress, and informs parents/guardians about student strengths, weaknesses, and progress.

The Physical Therapist functions as a service provider to assist students in mastering the goals and objectives identified on student Individual Education Plans (IEP).

The Occupational Therapist functions as a service provider to assist students in achieving the goals and objectives identified on student Individual Education Plans (IEP).

Under the direction of the Director of Special Education and the Building Principal, the Licensed School Social Worker provides direct and indirect social work services to students experiencing social, emotional and/or behavioral problems that interfere with their performance in school, and facilitates communication among school, home and community providers.

Educational speech-language pathologists provide prevention, assessment, and remediation services for students who exhibit difficulties in the areas of language, speech, voice, and fluency. These services are designed to help children meet their educational goals.

Performs professional work preforming diagnostic evaluation of students, assessing and interpreting intellectual, social and/or emotional development, conducting consultations, preparing and maintaining files and records, and related work as apparent or assigned.  Work is performed under the limited supervision of the Special Services Director.
