Payroll Specialist

Salary: $66,530 – $71,436 (with district longevity)
Days/Hours: Monday – Friday, 8 hours per day (40 hours per week)
Responsible To:  Finance Manager

Position Purpose: The Payroll specialist is part of the district’s Finance Team and provides financial services support for the district through coordination of the payroll process. Responsibilities include:

Preparing, processing and maintaining payroll and related items
Maintain payroll and human resources database regarding payroll records
Internal auditing, including conduction of periodic checks on pay, benefits and deductions to ensure accuracy
Provide payroll support throughout the district, and to outside vendors and stakeholders

Required Qualifications: Minimum two-year accounting certificate is required, a Bachelor’s degree in accounting, business administration or human resources is preferred, Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) certification is also preferred.

Benefits of Employment as of July 1, 2023: Eligible for benefits under the District 112 Professional and Technical District Personnel Contract. This position is not eligible for overtime or comp time.

Middle School Special Education Paraprofessional

Qualifications:  High School diploma or equivalent, alert and attentive, understanding of child development, oral and written communication skills, demonstrated affection for children, demonstrate interest in working with children with disabilities. Ability to earn a passing score on the ParaPro Exam.

Working Conditions: (Physical/sensory requirements and environmental conditions.)
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stoop, reach, stand, walk, lift, pull, push, grasp, walk, hear, see and use repetitive motions. The employee may be frequently required to lift and/or move at least 50 pounds of materials, or lift students from wheelchairs, etc. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision such as to read handwritten or typed material and the ability to adjust focus. The position requires the individual to meet multiple demands from several people and interact with the public and other staff. Inside and/or outside climactic environment: occasionally subjected to extremes of temperature.

Salary/Contract:  Starting at $15.45/hour and up depending upon education, qualifications and experience; includes benefits.  Working approximately 7 hours per day, Monday – Friday.
