Director of Finance

The Director of Finance is responsible for directing the operation and personnel of the Accounting and Finance function, and ensuring the effectiveness and integrity of the accounting processes. Responsibilities may include: supervising staff; reviewing and approving reports to external stakeholders; recommending and implementing financial policies and procedures; implementing and maintaining internal control procedures; reviewing and approving journal transactions; and coordinating month-end and year end closing processes.

The Ogilvie School District’s main office is located in Ogilvie, Minnesota. The school district has an approximate enrollment of 525 pre-kindergarten through grade twelve students.

LEADERSHIP PROFILE: The Ogilvie School Board seeks a superintendent who:

  • Has experience in school finance

  • Has knowledge of and experience with negotiations and the collective bargaining process
  • Provides written, understandable administrative procedures that implement School Board policy

Previous superintendent experience preferred, but not required.

SALARY/CONTRACT:  A competitive compensation and benefits package will be negotiated commensurate with experience and qualifications. The contract length is negotiable as provided in Minnesota statute.

Dean of Students

Position Summary:  Performs difficult professional work assisting the Principal and Assistant Principal in the daily functions that are necessary to provide a positive environment for students and staff. This position will build meaningful relationships with students and staff and help lead the efforts to build a student-centered, culturally relevant, positive school culture. The incumbent will refine and nurture a student’s daily experience that meets the unique needs and opportunities for our students by promoting positive student relationships and educating students in positive decision-making. Responsibilities include working with staff on curriculum development and delivery of instruction, directing student activities and working with staff on behavior management and providing a continuum of strategies and supports for students including potential consequences.

Language Skills: Ability to communicate to a culturally diverse cross section of individuals and organizations.
