Essential Functions: The Assistant Principal assists the Principal in managing the school’s educational and instructional programs, operations, and personnel to ensure the educational, emotional, social, and physical needs of all students. The candidate selected for this position works with the principal and other support personnel to build positive relationships with students, staff and community members; while collaborating and communicating effectively to facilitate meaningful relationships, and provide innovative leadership through our educational offerings. Faribault Public Schools expects our team members to uphold equitable and inclusive practices for all students. This position is 220 days per year, beginning on 7/3/23. In addition this administrator will assist and/or lead with the following duties:

Development of building policies and procedures dealing with behavior management, and parent/student/teacher issues.
Development of the building of the Master Schedule, determining assignment of teachers, students and locations.
Supervision & coordination of registration procedures.
Coordination and monitoring of student databases, attendance procedures and records.
Foster middle school achievement through coordination and supervision of student personnel services to ensure student’s educational needs are met.
Coordination & monitoring grade reporting procedures and maintenance of student records.
Resolve operational problems of the school in the absence of the Principal.
Integral member of the district leadership team serving on district and community committees.
Facilitate Problem Solving Team.
Supervision of paraprofessionals.
Perform related duties as apparent or assigned.
Assist in developing, implementing, and evaluating instructional programs and activities at the assigned school.
Supervises school personnel for the purpose of monitoring performance, providing for professional growth and achieving overall objectives of the school’s curriculum.
Assists in curriculum development and instructional leadership to meet the needs of all students
Knowledge and experience with data analysis to guide teachers in classroom practice and instructional strategies

Caledonia Area Public Schools has openings for full-time special education paraprofessionals beginning the 22023-2024 school year. We are looking for patient individuals who enjoy working with children and who work well with others. If hired, the district will provide a basic Minnesota Competency exam for individuals who do not have a two-year Associate’s Degree or 60 college credits. The hiring range is $15.33 – $19.17 per hour depending upon qualifications and experience. Benefits include life insurance, LTD, health insurance, paid time off and on-site daycare is available for infants ages six weeks to school-aged children. QUALIFICATIONS:
Must hold a valid teaching license with the State of Minnesota.
A valid special education teaching license with the State of Minnesota is preferred and willing to apply for an Out of Field Permission in Special Education.
Teachers must be able to demonstrate the highest commitment to student achievement and effective development.
Teachers must have the willingness to adapt to becoming part of a total school effort in educating our students.
Teachers must have a demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with other staff members, students and parents in providing and promoting positive relationships.
Teachers must be of the highest integrity with a strong commitment to modeling excellence in all aspects of the teacher/student/parent relationships.
Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Board may find appropriate and acceptable.

WAGES:
