Job Summary
Provide specialized instruction, modifications and accommodations to students with disabilities.  Follow all due process requirements under the Individual with Disabilities Education Act and Every School Succeeds Act. Work collaboratively with building staff.  Provide direction to Paraprofessionals on day-to-day activities for student achievement.  Participate in IEP meetings and facilitate communication between staff and families if necessary.

Job Functions

Provide assistance and leadership in completing Functional Behavior Assessments as determined by the IEP team.
Consult with other educators, staff and parents in developing specialized educational programs for students.

Consult with other educators, staff and parents in the management and data collection around results of specialized programs.will remain open until filled.

Assist in making changes and adjustments to instructional techniques and accommodations and modifications for students.
Participate with families at school conferences and IEP meetings with parents when needed.
Communicate with appropriate teachers and other district staff personnel as necessary on educational matters.
Promote family attendance and involvement in school conferences and events.
Provide education to families as requested by the principal, teacher, or district staff.
Promote full consideration of individual needs of learners with disabilities in the academic environment.
Deliver the district’s written, taught and assessed curriculum.
Adhere to all district policies and procedures.
Support the district’s mission, vision and values.
Maintain knowledge and skills within IB program changes and updates.
Cultivate and develop inclusive and equitable working relationships with students, staff, families and community members.
Adhere to staff and program guidelines and district procedures and policies.
Demonstrate prompt, regular and reliable attendance.

Boys and Girls Cross Country Running- Assistant Coaches

Assistant Coaches- Boys and Girls Cross Country Running– Beginning August 14, 2023

QUALIFICATIONS:
Season Starts: August 14, 2023 – 3:00 PM – 6:30 PM (will depend on meet and practice schedule)

Compensation: Per Schedule B of the Centennial Teachers Contract and/or Booster Compensation as agreed upon. Required Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s Degree
• Previous cross country and/or track coaching experience at the youth, club, high school, or collegiate level
• Excellent communication skills when dealing with students, staff and community.

Responsibilities:
Work in partnership with the Varsity Head Coach to ensure alignment of the Centennial High School Girls and Boys Cross Country program vision and mission as a whole.
• Hold organizational meetings for returning and new team members and encourage student participation
• Assess skills of student-athletes and determines team selections, in partnership with other coaches
• Schedules and organizes regular practice schedules to provide both individual and team development at all levels
• Coach and instruct students, individually and in groups, regarding the rules, regulations, techniques needed to be successful
• Observe students, during meets and practice to determine the needs for individual and/or team improvement
• Establish and maintain standards of student behavior and always provides proper supervision of team members
• Monitor the academic performance of team members to ensure that eligibility requirements are met
• Follow established procedures in the event of an injury
• Clear communication with parents/guardians providing program information
• Follow state, sectional, and school district bylaws and policies as it pertains to governance of the program
• Model sports-like behavior and maintains appropriate conduct towards students, officials, and spectators set forth by the standards of the MSHSL and Centennial School District
• Model non-discriminatory practices in all activities while creating a welcoming environment for coaches and student-athletes at all levels
• Ensure adherence toward the required MSHSL training and education for self and each member of the coaching staff
• Provide opportunities for student-athlete participation in off-season clinics, camps, and program activities
