Summary of Position:
The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) serves as the subject matter expert in general health related areas in the educational school setting. LPN’s working for Faribault Public Schools provide care to students with health needs, refer students to outside providers and assist with screenings and prevention of communicable diseases. The positions commence immediately upon hire. LPN’s are employed full-time for 7.5 hours per day, 5 days per week between late August and early June; serving Jefferson Elementary School. Additional summer opportunities are available.
Licensed Practical Nurse
.5 FTE Fifth Grade Teacher
Essential Functions: A half-time (0.5 FTE) Fifth Grade Teacher at Lincoln Elementary School. Performs professional work providing a broad range of teaching services within our elementary school, assisting students to develop skills, attitudes and learning methods at various levels to a targeted audience. This position would focus on the literacy development of the students. This position commences with the 2023-24 School Year on August 21, 2023.
Bookkeeper/Accounting Coordinator
Rush City Schools is seeking a full time, 12 month, 260 day Bookkeeping/Accounting Coordinator to start July 1, 2023. Part time work may be available prior to July 1st. This position supports the Business Manager and performs daily accounting, data entry, audit support, and administrative duties. Primary duties include posting data to various accounts, reconciliation and reporting of internal and financial accounts, coding and monitoring of new and existing Federal, State and local grants. Other duties of a similar nature may also be assigned.
Candidates must have excellent organization, written and verbal communication skills, and the ability to fulfill Rush City Schools mission statement. Salary is based upon experience/qualifications.

Elementary English Language Learner Teacher
Position Summary:
Provide high quality instruction to identified students and serve as a collaborative member of our English Language Learner (EL) Team. Position follows a co-teaching/pull-out model, with EL Teacher collaborating with general education classroom teacher, working in collaboration to meet students’ needs in the area of literacy, math, and social-emotional learning.
Qualifications:
Valid Minnesota Teaching License. Valid ELL/EL/ESL Minnesota Teaching License. Consistent and reliable attendance.
Bachelor’s degree with coursework in Education, certificate and/or experience in the area of reading intervention education preferred, or related field and moderate experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience; Valid Minnesota Teaching License. Valid ELL/EL/ESL Minnesota Teaching License. Ideal candidate will have a strong equity background, believing and ensuring all kids learn at high levels. A strong demonstrated use of 21st Century learning strategies and approaches to ensure all learners achieve the highest levels. A strong background in literacy and language is preferred with in depth understanding and application of language acquisition and WIDA Standards.
Bi-lingual skills in Spanish or Somali desired.
Short-Call Substitute Teachers – Full Year Assignment
Rush City Schools is currently seeking two (2) full year daily substitute teachers for the 2023-24 school year. One will typically support the high school and the other our elementary school. The ideal candidate will be flexible in covering all grade levels K-12 and possess the ability to work with all students. These individuals will report for duty on all student contact days from approximately 7:45 am – 3:15 pm daily.

Career and College Readiness Counselor/Coordinator
The Career and College Counselor/Coordinator serves Rush City High School students and families in grades 7th-12th by providing a program which focuses on the major aspects of the career counseling and college planning/placement process. The goal is for every Rush City student to be prepared with a plan for life after high school. This position will work closely with our 7th-12th Grade School Counselor with some duties being shared.
