Job Summary:
The certified teacher develops lesson plans, conducts classroom instruction, evaluates, and assesses both instructional material and student performance. The teacher interprets student progress and communicates regularly with parents about student strengths, weaknesses, and/or programs. The teacher is a member of an interdisciplinary team and works collaboratively with colleagues to make decisions about team programming and supporting students through intervention and enrichment.

General Responsibilities
Successful candidates will demonstrate a passion for discipline and a desire to work with students of all levels and abilities.  A variety of elective courses will be taught centering on child development, cooking, sewing, and interior design.  An engaging instructor will have the discretion to tailor classes to inspire broader participation in the FACs courses as an elective department.

K-5 Elementary Art Teacher (SY 2023-24)

-Ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues, parents and students to achieve student learning results.

-Bi-lingual skills in Spanish or Somali desired.

JOB SUMMARY:

Under the general supervision of the Director of Instruction, the principal will provide leadership and supervision in administering the educational program of the Learning Programs to promote the educational development and achievement of students in accordance with the Board of Education policies, administrative procedures, rules, and regulations, and applicable law. To provide leadership in program development and improvement, as well as in professional staff development. Candidates must understand the following items: personalized learning, instructional best practices, effective classroom/building management, and organizational leadership. In addition to that knowledge, a candidate with the following characteristics will receive priority: effective (oral and written) communication skills, knowledge about conflict resolution, efficient organizational skills, possesses high integrity, and effective collaboration skills.

Qualifications:K-12 Principal License required.
Bachelor’s and Master’s Degree from an accredited college or university, preferably in School Administration.  Sixth year, doctorate, or other planned program in related field preferred.
Leader committed to developing and supporting effective instructional practices.
Effective leader in curriculum and literacy.
Ability to develop meaningful relationships with students, staff, and community.
Strong educational leader.
Wage and Benefits:$101,000 base- Salary will be negotiated based on experience and qualifications
230 working day contract- 30 non-duty days
