Early Childhood Special Education Teacher, Birth-Age 3 (School Year 2023-2024)

Position Summary:
This position is for a Birth – age 3 ECSE Teacher.  The position performs professional work providing a broad range of consulting, coaching and direct instructional services to children with special needs and their families.  Applicants should demonstrate flexibility in providing professional work in a variety of settings; i.e. homes, daycares, and community-based preschool environments.  The ECSE teacher networks closely with all related services professionals on the Birth-3 team.  The position includes all duties of an ECSE teacher, including special education evaluations and ongoing assessments; training will be provided as needed.

Director of Development

Minnehaha Academy seeks a Director of Development to direct and coordinate all fundraising efforts. The Director will lead a team and develop a comprehensive strategy to meet the current and future needs of the School.

Specific responsibilities include:

  • Strategically engage in relationship management and cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship of prospects.
  • Manage a major gift portfolio of prospects including identification, qualification, cultivation, solicitation and stewardship of major outright and planned gifts and travel as needed in fulfillment of these duties.
  • Work with the President and the Executive Director of Institutional Advancement on the strategic development and execution of the School’s advancement efforts in the context of the annual development plan and the School’s Strategic Plan.
  • Lead a team of development professionals to their highest performance through coaching and by clearly articulating goals and objectives and setting fundraising targets.
  • Develop an annual work plan, including specific fundraising, prospect development and programmatic goals with an emphasis on achieving agreed-upon goals integrating annual fund, alumni relations, and events.
  • Identify and prioritize prospects to set achievable annual and multi-year goals based on School priorities.
  • Contribute to the development and articulation of a compelling case for support.
  • Plan and execute fundraising events with the support of volunteers and development team.
  • Maintain accurate and relevant records and complete reporting using Raiser’s Edge.
  • Ensure development and maintenance of appropriate systems to fund development including but not limited to donor management, research and cultivation, gift processing and recognition.
  • Develop and maintain good working relationships and communications at all levels of the organization.
  • Perform other duties, as assigned.

Upper School Long Term Substitute – Math

The Upper School has a Math long-term substitute teaching position to start immediately and end on Monday, June 5, 2023. The position will be a 60% FTE teaching position, teaching on Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays. This person will teach 3 classes of Geometry. The teacher will also participate in the Math Department’s professional learning community team.  The Minnehaha Academy Upper School is a new, state-of-the-art facility located at 3100 West River Parkway in Minneapolis.

Licensed Care Specialist

GOLDEN LAKE ELEMENTARY
1.0 FTE – Licensed Care Specialist
8 hours/day 8:45 AM – 4:00 PM

QUALIFICATIONS:
-Must be a licensed nurse (RN or LPN) with the State of Minnesota.
-Demonstrate the highest commitment to student achievement and effective development.
-Willingness to adapt to becoming part of a total school effort in educating our students.
-Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with other staff members, students and parents in providing and promoting positive relationships.
-Must be of the highest integrity with a strong commitment to modeling excellence in all aspects of the teacher/student/parent relationships.
-Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Board may find appropriate and acceptable.

Responsibilities:
Direct Care, Medication Administration, Maintenance and updating of Student Health Files/Immunizations, Health Screenings, Implementation of Procedures under the direction/delegation of the Licensed School Nurse.

WAGES: Starting at $23.57.
