The Human Resources Department is accepting online applications for the position of Assistant Director of Student Services.  This is a full-time, 12-month position, and reports to the Director of Student Services.

Job Summary
Work cooperatively with staff, parents, and the community to provide leadership and administration for the overall operations of student support systems as they relate to students with disabilities, health needs, and/or homebound services.   Provide leadership and guidance to school and district administrators, coordinators, teacher leaders, and teachers that promotes and develops instructional excellence, educational equity and access to rigorous curriculum for all students.

Job Functions

Develop, organize, coordinate, implement and evaluate areas related to special education programming, including Extended School Year (ESY).
Align overall district leadership, coordination, and supervision for staff involved in the creation and implementation of professional development processes in all special education programs.
Provide leadership and guidance to schools for the implementation of State and Federal standards, laws, and rules for all special education activities.
Implement district vision, mission, goals and initiatives from the district strategic plan.
Develop, coordinate, and implement special programs and curriculum development in order to carry out special education functions.
Make hiring recommendations and staff changes.
Provide supervision and evaluation of teaching, support staff and specific district programs (including ECSE).
Assist in planning, organizing, directing and evaluating the district’s special education programs and services.
Develop and maintain a close working relationship with cooperative agencies associated with special services including Intermediate School District 917, Dakota County Technical College, and other county agencies such as the probation office, and social services.
Oversee and monitor special services related grant application process and implementation, including but not limited to, Alternative Delivery of Specialized Instructional Services (ADSIS) and Metro ECSU.
Provide leadership in the development of a coherent and integrated program of standards-based systems and practices for early learning through grade 12 in all areas of written, taught and assessed curriculum.
Guide the development and articulation of a comprehensive multi-tiered system of supports model to effectively support students’ development of academic, social-emotional and behavioral knowledge and skills.
Coordinate the development, implementation, and evaluation of curriculum and instructional services with an emphasis on International Baccalaureate principles and career-and-college readiness.
Implement culturally and racially competent practices to raise the highest levels of learning while narrowing the achievement gap and ensuring equitable learning and access to rigorous curriculum for all students.
Provide leadership and guidance in the development, implementation, and evaluation of staff development programs for professional personnel.
Assist in the implementation, management and assessment of the Teacher Growth, Development & Evaluation system.
Guide staff through interpretation, analysis and decision-making utilizing a variety of educational data.
Maintain active participation in local, regional and national networks of educational leaders to stay abreast of trends and developments in curriculum, instruction and assessment.
Cultivate and develop inclusive and equitable working relationships with all students, staff, families and community members.
Adhere to staff and program guidelines and district procedures and policies.
Demonstrate prompt, regular and reliable attendance.
Other duties as assigned.

 

6.5 hr/day Special Education Paraprofessional- 1:1

1:1 Special Education Paraprofessional- 6.5 hrs/day

POSITION:
Assistant Track and Field Coach- Jumps – $4,207 – Beginning March 6, 2023

QUALIFICATIONS:

Season Dates: March 6, 2023 – June 17, 2023 – 3 pm Start

Duties: Serve as assistant coach – jumps for the Centennial High School Track and Field program. This may include, but not limited to setting up practices, invitationals, and schedules for the program; supervision of athletes at practices and games; care and maintenance of program equipment; arranging team transportation; working with booster club and regular meetings with other coaches to evaluate goals of the overall program. Must be able to adjust work schedule for practices and competitions. Preferences: A BA/BS Degree and MN Teacher License with coaching certificate highly preferred.

Qualifications: A strong background in youth, high school, or club track and field as a participant and/or coach is required. Strong work ethic and dedication to furthering the benefits of participation in co-curricular activities. Leadership skills including but not limited to organization, vision, motivation, and conflict resolution. Ability to work with student athletes, parents, staff, and community. Previous experience as an athlete and/or coach.

Salary: Compensation in accordance with Schedule B; $4,207.

Updates to student and school accounts
Communication with district personnel
Assist with data entry
Provide administrative support to the SPECTRUM Program to include, but not limited to the following:
Provide clerical support to the SPECTRUM Program as needed.
Act as a backup paraprofessional for breaks and lunches (when trained) during the student day when needed
Onsite at the SPECTRUM program – average three days per week, or as needed.
in CPI for use as needed.
Provide administrative support to other HVED programs to include, but not limited to the following:
Scan paper documents for electronic documents storage.
Approve paraprofessionals timesheets in TimeClock+
Assists staff with HelloSign electronic signature system
Assist with approving Company Mileage for staff that travel.
Secondary responsibilities may include substitute transportation driver as needed within the programs.
Other duties as assigned.
