School Social Worker

Position Summary:
This position serves as a School Social Worker position at the Owatonna Middle School. This position supports students through IEPs and students in the general population in the areas of social/emotional support. This position works closely with community resources, connecting families to outside resources they may need. The Social Worker will provide 1:1 support along with some small group work. Strong communication skills with individuals, families, and outside agencies is imperative in this role. The Social Worker must be able to offer supports to students and families or find the resources needed.

Qualifications:
Valid MN 6-12  Tier 1 license in Counseling or School Social Work.

Demonstrated understanding of cultural competence.
Consistent and reliable attendance.

.25 FTE Parent Educator- Early Childhood

DESCRIPTION:
.25 FTE – Centennial ECFE is a program for all Centennial families with children between the ages of birth to kindergarten.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Days and Hours: Monday 8:15 – 11:30am; Tuesday 5:30 – 7:45 pm; Friday 8:30 – 10:30 am.
Plans curriculum and daily lesson plans, including selection of content and resources for groups of parents with children between the ages of birth to kindergarten.
Provides relevant education and support to parents to encourage an environment for their healthy growth and development.
Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATONS (EDUCATION, LICENSE, EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES):
License in Parent and Family Education or Tier 2 license.
Experience facilitating parent groups and knowledge of the Parent Education Core Curriculum Framework and planning curriculum for parent education programs.

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:
Salary based on placement on teacher salary schedule.
Days and Hours: Monday 8:15 – 11:30am; Tuesday 5:30 – 7:45 pm; Friday 8:30 – 10:30 am.

Developmental Adapted Physical Education (DAPE) Teacher

Provides special education instruction for students that includes development of physical fitness, motor fitness, fundamental motor skills and patterns, individual and group games and sports.  The teacher will participate in and conduct portions of the evaluations and observations to determine special education eligibility of students placed in the program and conduct periodic assessments to determine educational progress of the students.  Assists in developing Individualized Education Program (IEP) goals and objectives and participates in IEP meetings for students in the program.

Minnesota Teaching license in Autism Spectrum Disorder. Academic Behavior Specialist licensure considered; multiple licenses preferred.

Elementary Special Education Teacher – Learning Center
