Central Public Schools is seeking an exceptional and experienced individual with an innovative spirit to lead the staff, students, and community as the Secondary Principal at Central Public Schools. Located in Norwood Young America, Minnesota, our communities provide quality programs to 930 students.  The principal will oversee 540 students and staff at the Middle School and High School (one campus).

Primary responsibilities:

Providing instructional leadership by implementing educational and district initiatives at the building level.
Directing, supervising, and overseeing all school improvement programs.
Managing the safety, building operations, and personnel within the building.
Being an active member of the community by maintaining open communication between district, staff, students, parents and the community.
Oversee building events; participate in various district-wide committees, groups, panels and management meetings.
Collaborates with the superintendent, curriculum leader, and other building administrators to plan and implement effective staff development.

Social Studies Teacher

This position includes teaching Social Studies at a secondary school.

Requirement:
MN licensure in Social Studies is required.

Extended School Year – Licensed Special Education Teacher

The Extended School Year (ESY) Program serves special education students in preschool through age 21.  ESY programming will run for four weeks: June 6 – June 30, 2022; Monday through Thursday from 7:30-11:30 am.  One morning of orientation and classroom preparation will take place the week prior to the beginning of ESY.  Staff must meet special education licensing requirements.  The rate of pay is based on the current contracted hourly wage.  The number of openings is based on student enrollment.

Middle School Principal

Full-Time (1.0 FTE) Special Education Case Facilitator / Lead Evaluation – Assessment Facilitator – District Wide.  This position would commence with the 2022-23 fiscal year for 200 contract days beginning approximately July 1, 2022.  Leads building level Special Education team including all evaluations.  Responsible for evaluation planning, evaluation of students and written reports.  Leads due process training and oversight at the building level.
