Teacher- Instrumental Music (Orchestra)
JOB GOAL:
To enable the District to provide quality education for all students in the District.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Professional Skills – The teacher is expected to establish procedures of management to allow a maximum of learning and a minimum of disciplinary action by:

High School Principal (7-12)
Essential Functions
· Provides leadership to staff, students, and community in alignment with the District mission, vision, and strategic plan
· Fosters a positive school culture that promotes an environment of responsibility and respect
· Sets high standards and expectations for all students and staff for superior academic, arts, and activities
· Coordinates and leads the development of a comprehensive high school curriculum, including oversight of graduation requirements, standards, and ceremonies
· Ensures that programs implement leading-edge technology and purposeful educational practices and programs that address the range of skills and developmental needs of each student
· Responsible for the recruitment, selection and hiring, and support of all high school staff; clearly articulates roles and responsibilities and high expectations for job performance; supervises all assigned personnel, observing students and staff regularly to ensure performance measures are met, encouraging accountability, growth, and excellence
· Regularly evaluates all staff and provides effective staff development that addresses the needs of staff; provides coaching and assistance to staff in need of performance improvement – Helps staff establish rigorous, measurable goals
