.6 FTE Special Education Teaching position to teach social skills and behavior management techniques, working with students in grades K-4 at Centerview Elementary, primarily with Autsism Spectrum Disorders and some Emotional Behavioral Disorders.

Primary Responsibilities:

Duties of this job include, but are not limited to:Develop and provide direct social, emotional, and behavior instruction.
Conduct formative assessment, and monitor progress, to guide instructional planning.
Conduct social, emotional, and behavioral assessments as part of triannual special education evaluations.
Consult with general and special education staff.
Maintain student records of services provided.
Participate in IEP and evaluation summary meetings.
Perform other related duties, as assigned.

Experience:

Previous experience or willingness to work with students struggling with behavior management. Additional knowledge or experience with due process/assessments/methods and current trends in the field of behavior interventions and support.

Position Description;
TITLE: Part Time Nutrition Services Worker
LOCATION:  WESTWOOD
HOURS: 3.75 hours;  10:00-1:45
PAY RATE:  UP TO $15.00 /hour with Food Manager’s Certificate (current)
DUTY DAYS: 168 Days – contract days based on school year calendar
START DATE: Immediate opening

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Westwood nutrition team proudly serves students in grades 5-8, serving around 1300 lunches/day.
Will perform duties as assigned by the kitchen manager including but not limited to; food prep, serve, cashier and operate a dish machine
Must maintain a friendly and professional attitude when interacting with all students, staff and co-workers
Must attend job-related training classes and workshops in order to meet the professional standards guidelines of 4 hours/year
Will follow Department Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) and Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point (HACCP)
Must maintain high standards and working knowledge of food safety and sanitation pursuant to the Minnesota Food Code.

English Language Learner Collaboration Specialist

Position Summary:
Provide high quality instruction to identified students and serve as a collaborative member of our English Language Learner (EL) Team.  Position follows a co-teaching model, with EL Teacher collaborating with general education classroom teacher, working in collaboration to meet students’ needs in the area of Math, Science, Social Studies, or English Langauge Arts. This position will focus on equity and inclusion best practices to continue to grow career pathways for protected class students.

 

Qualifications:
Valid Minnesota Teaching License. Valid ELL/EL/ESL Minnesota Teaching License. Consistent and reliable attendance.Bachelor’s degree with coursework in Education, certificate and/or experience in the area of reading intervention education preferred, or related field and moderate experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience; Valid Minnesota Teaching License. Valid ELL/EL/ESL Minnesota Teaching License. Ideal candidate will have a strong equity background, believing and ensuring all kids learn at high levels.  A strong demonstrated use of 21st Century learning strategies and approaches to ensure all learners achieve the highest levels. A strong background in literacy and language is preferred with in depth understanding and application of language acquisition and WIDA Standards.  Bi-lingual skills in Spanish or Somali desired.

Industrial Technology/Agriculture Teacher (2022-2023 School Year)
