C.E. Jacobson Elementary (PK-6) is looking for a full-time 6th Grade Teacher with a focus in science and social studies to begin as soon as possible. Ideal start date is March 21st. Our fifth and sixth grade students’ function in a middle-school-style model and this teacher will spend 85% of their time teaching science and social studies as well as general instructional support for all content area. The ability to build relationships with students, colleagues, and the community will be imperative. Hours will be typical school days, aligned with the Teachers Master Contract.  Applications accepted until the position is filled and will be reviewed as they are received. Openings are available for the Graduate Teaching Fellow Program (classroom experience while working on a masters degree program in Education).  Applicants must have a Bachelor of Science or Bachelor of Arts Teaching degree in Social Studies.

Seniors in a teacher education program who will complete all requirements for a Bachelor of Arts or Bachelor of Science Teaching degree, complete all required testing, and obtain appropriate Minnesota teacher licensure by August, 2022, or recent teacher education graduates (who have not held regular teaching appointments) are eligible to apply.  Application deadline:  April 5, 2022, or until filled.

Superintendent

NOTE: This is a Superintendent position for both Tri-County and Greenbush-Middle River Schools

ABOUT THE COMMUNITY/SCHOOL DISTRICT:

The Tri-County and Greenbush-Middle River (GMR) schools are located in northwestern Minnesota. The Tri-County Schools’ main office is located in Karlstad, Minnesota. The Greenbush-Middle Rivers’ main office is located in Greenbush, Minnesota. Combined enrollment of the school districts is approximately 450 PreK-12 students.

LEADERSHIP PROFILE: Tri-County and Greenbush-Middle River Schools seek a Superintendent who:

  • Is a “people person” with proven abilities in human relations and communications
  • Acts with honesty and in an ethical manner with the School Board, staff, and community
  • Has experience in school finance
  • Is visible and accessible to the School Board, staff, students, parents, and community

Previous superintendent experience preferred but not required.

SALARY/CONTRACT: A comprehensive compensation package will be negotiated commensurate with experience and qualifications. The contract length is negotiable as provided in Minnesota statute.
