The Learning Resource Teacher delivers scripted PRESS reading interventions to small groups of identified students in grades K-5.  The position is funded through an ADSIS Grant.  Work hours are five hours a day for 150 days out the school year.  Job duties include:

delivering various prescriptive reading interventions in small groups
teaching classwide interventions when the data warrants.
scheduling small groups of students, and adjusting schedules as the data dictates
collaborating with other interventionists
progress monitoring
communicating with parents and teachers
attending Stakeholder meetings

POSITION TITLE: Teaching and Learning Coordinator

REPORTS TO: Executive Director of Teaching and Learning

POSITION SUMMARY: Performs detailed work assisting with planning, management, and facilitating Teaching and learning programming, Title funding and World’s Best Workforce & Achievement and Integration. Work is performed under the general direction of the Executive Director of Teaching and Learning.

ESSENTIAL POSITION FUNCTIONS:
• Supervise Teaching and Learning TOSA’s (Teachers On Special Assignment).
• Ensure all reports related to Title I, Title II, Staff Development, and World’s Best Workforce / Achievement and Integration, are up-to-date and submitted on time.
• Coordinate the planning, organization, and implementation of staff development activities to support the district plan and instructional program.
• Manages state/federal entitlement/categorical programs/funds directly related to the curricular/instructional programs.
• Work with Teaching and Learning TOSA’s to conduct timely and thorough review of curriculum and instruction for Pre K-Grade 12.
• Oversee a curriculum review cycle, and facilitate regular curriculum review to determine
improvements in curriculum and instruction based on assessment data and best practices.
• Lead and facilitate proper implementation of Minnesota Academic Standards.
• Coordinates and supports K-12 curriculum development and program alignment processes of standards-based curriculum.
• Provides assistance in the selection processes of appropriate instructional materials and resources.
• Ensure testing procedures and timelines are followed
• Oversees and directs the AVID program.
• Other duties as assigned by the Executive Director of Teaching and Learning.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
• Bachelor’s degree with degree in education. Master’s degree required.
• Minnesota administrator license required or able to obtain one prior to start of position.
• Experience as a successful educational leader and proven successful management, supervisory and team building experience.
• Knowledge of federal, state and local policies, procedures, rules, regulations and laws related to assignment.
• Strong organizational and time management skills, attention to detail is essential, ability to multitask and manage multiple projects, set and reevaluate priorities.
• Must have excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate and coordinate the work of others.
• Ability to analyze complex situations or needs and make competent decisions.
• Proven team leader with demonstrated ability to develop, deploy and implement team objectives
• Proven successful experience in all aspects of project management
• Abreast of research and emerging trends and best practices related to staff development, continuous improvement, and literacy development
• Must have enthusiasm for the job, a customer service approach and be willing to work in a team environment.

WORK ENVIRONMENT/REQUIREMENTS:
A. Working Conditions:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly works with teachers and administrators across the district on professional development and curriculum. Duties include presenting to administration, staff and school board, as needed.
B. Physicals Demands:
The employee will need the ability to perform the following actions continuously: sitting, walking, using hands dexterously, talking, hearing. The employee will perform the following actions occasionally: lifting and carrying up to 25 pounds, reaching, stooping, standing, bending, crouching, walking.
C. Work Hours and Schedules:
• Primarily daytime hours
• Occasional evenings
• 12-month position

WAGES: Salary range $90,000-$95,000 based on experience and qualifications. This is an individual contract and will have competitive health insurance, vacation, sick leave, holidays and other benefits.

High School Principal

The successful candidate for the Burnsville High School Principal position will provide leadership and build systems to support 164 staff, multiple departments, and the district in increasing appropriate instructional capacity that allows all students to meet or exceed expected growth each year, graduate from high school, and eliminate predictability in achievement through practices of educational equity. The successful candidate will maximize the available support resources of 4 Associate Principals, 1 Athletic Director, 3 Deans, and 7 Student Counselors to lead the building’s efforts in creating a culturally proficient and racially inclusive learning environment so that all students are successful.  Lead the design and implementation of the building’s instructional delivery and professional development in alignment with the district’s strategic roadmap and support individual school improvement plans. Actively lead building planning and improvement processes.
