Mid-State Education District, also known as MSED, is a cooperative serving the districts of: Onamia, Pierz, Royalton, Swanville, and Upsala. The Mid-State Education District’s main office is located in Little Falls, Minnesota. The district has an approximate enrollment of 3,257 pre-kindergarten through grade twelve students.

LEADERSHIP PROFILE: The Mid-State Governing Board seeks an executive director who:
- Acts with honesty and in an ethical manner with the Governing Board, staff, and communities
- Has knowledge of and experience with special education needs and a diverse student body
- Has experience in school finance and an understanding of special education funding
- Is visible and accessible to the Governing Board, staff, students, parents, and communities
- Develops trust and works collaboratively with diverse groups of stakeholders, particularly in providing special education services
Current Minnesota license as a Director of Special Education required.
Previous executive director or superintendent experience preferred, but not required.
SALARY/CONTRACT: The current executive director’s base salary for the 2021-2022 school year is $129,500. The final salary will be negotiated commensurate with experience and qualifications. The contract length is negotiable as provided in Minnesota statute.
