General Definition of Work
Performs intermediate professional work overseeing adult and senior enrichment programs; creating and supervising
courses, instructors and students; communicating with various community members; community education marketing,
communications, and related work as apparent or assigned.  Work is performed under the general direction of the
Director of Community Education.  Programming supervision is exercised over adult enrichment instructors.

Qualification Requirements

Essential FunctionsSupervises and manages the daily performance of adult and senior enrichment instructors and facilitator; recruits, trains, evaluates and monitors the performance of the instructor and facilitator; maintains and revises instructor handbook.
Processes financial materials including invoices, payroll and refund fees; performs data entry; monitors expenditures and revenues; mitigates plans to maintain a self-supported program.
Plans and implements outreach to adults and seniors regarding community education programs.
Plans, evaluates and implements programming changes to better meet the needs of the community, district and program participants; summarizes evaluations and presents to the Community Education Advisory Council.
Communicates with the public to promote and market programs and services; assists with the creation and design of the community education brochures; edits and provides themes for the brochure; facilitates the writing of the adult and senior enrichment areas.
Designs and produces promotional materials for all Community Education programs including community education and early childhood brochures; communicates with the public to promote and market programs and services; facilitates the writing of the adult enrichment materials.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
General knowledge of district handbooks, rules, regulations, policies and procedures; general knowledge of graphic
design tools and programs; general knowledge of timesheets and payroll related forms; thorough skill preparing or
processing communications; thorough skill operating standard office computer equipment and applicable hardware and
software; general skill preparing purchase orders, vouchers and deposit reports; some skill preparing communications,
signs, brochures, charts and diagrams; some skill maintaining accurate records both paper and electronically; ability to
compute rates, ratios and percentages; ability to make arithmetic computations using whole numbers, fractions and
decimals; ability to understand and apply governmental accounting practices in  maintenance of financial records; ability
to perform some troubleshooting when operating standard office hardware and software; ability to manage several work
projects simultaneously; ability to effectively communicate with staff, students, parents and other district shareholders
both orally and in writing; ability to establish and maintain working relationships with associates, parents, students
and community members.
