Summer Targeted Services Teachers to work with a section of 1st through 5th grade at-risk students from 8:30-11:30 am, Monday – Thursday. The program will run from July 26, 2021, thru August 12, 2021, and you will receive 1 hour of prep time each day.  Teacher hours will be 8:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. There will be a staffing scheduled on Thursday, July 22, 2021 prior to the start of the program.

Program to include: learner-focused curriculum, hands on experiential activities, social and personal skill development, and possibly cross age groupings.

Minimum Qualifications:
Requires a minimum of a bachelor’s degree in industrial relations, human resources, personnel administration, labor relations or a closely-related field and at least three years of administrative experience in human resources or a closely-related area.

Knowledge Requirements:General knowledge of administering labor agreement provisions.
State and federal regulations related to the employment of public employees.
Specific knowledge of various employment-related laws, such as FLSA, ADA, and civil rights laws.
General knowledge of specific functional areas, such as staffing, labor and employee relations, contract administration, compensation, and unemployment compensation administration.
General knowledge of human resource management systems especially in the areas of compensation administration, personnel records management, applicant tracking, and substitute employees.
Human resource planning and management strategies, including data analysis and communication.
Skill Requirements:Written and verbal communications, including presentation skills.
Management skills, including leadership, supervision, organization, prioritization, working with multiple tasks concurrently, analysis, and project management.
Basic proficiency in using Microsoft-Office, especially Word and Excel, and Google applications.
Experience using human resources management system (Skyward).
Team-building skills, especially the ability to work cooperatively with others, applying methods of conflict resolution, when necessary.
Ability to maintain effective working and professional relationships, especially with public agencies, private organizations, and labor organizations.

Director of Facilities and Grounds

JOB GOAL: Under the general supervision of the Chief Financial and Operations Officer (CFOO), maintains physical school facilities and grounds in a condition that is safe, clean, attractive, efficient and provides all students with an excellent physical learning environment. Plans, coordinates, and inspects the work activities for facilities and grounds operations, maintenance and improvement projects.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
1. Serves as the leader of the Facilities and Grounds Department.
2. Leads Facilities and Grounds personnel in the performance of their duties; reviews and checks the work of Facilities and Grounds personnel assigned to buildings. Evaluates, recommends employment and assignment of personnel as required.
3. Coordinates, implements, and supervises the construction, modernization and reconstruction of new and existing schools and District facilities. Obtains quotes or bids and oversees external contracts for projects in accordance with established policies, guidelines and best practices.
4. Inspects facilities and grounds, determines the work needed for maintenance and plans a systematic program of preventive maintenance. Maintains drawings and utility plans.
5. Ensures compliance with all state and federal safety regulations, Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction regulations and Hudson School District Board of Education policy as it relates to facilities and grounds operations.
6. Meets with internal district groups affected by facilities and grounds projects and occasionally acts as the District’s representative to parent and community groups on matters related to maintenance and improvements to facilities.
7. Consults with and advises architects, engineers, contractors and others on the design, construction or alteration of school buildings and landscaped areas, reviewing and assisting in making changes to plans and specifications.
8. Responsible for developing and managing the Department’s operational budget and prepares budget requests indicating priority for work to be performed. Prepares estimates of construction and labor costs, monitors work in progress and verifies the actual costs when work is completed.
9. Assists the District in developing long-range capital improvement and capital equipment plans and updates annually.
10. Prepares specifications for materials to be used and inspects work done for compliance with standards established.
11. Confers with building principals on maintenance and operations problems and makes recommendations as required.
12. Performs other duties as directed by the CFOO.
13. Other duties may be assigned.

REPORTS TO: Chief Financial and Operations Officer.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Bachelor’s Degree in business, construction or engineering is preferred. Five or more years of experience in construction, building maintenance and mechanical systems is preferred.

Strong written and verbal communication skills are critical to the success of this position. The individual must possess the ability to communicate effectively with a variety of individuals and groups from diverse backgrounds. Communication will include individual and large group presentations as well as occasional Board presentations.

COLLABORATIVE SKILLS
The individual must show evidence of a high degree of collaboration when working with students, staff, colleagues, parents and administrators to create new opportunities to embrace and implement change intended to positively impact student achievement.

ANALYTICAL and REASONING SKILLS
The individual must have the ability to interpret data, measure program success and determine appropriate changes necessary. Must be able to apply principles of complex thinking to a wide range of problems and issues that may not have any historical precedent and determine solutions where none are apparent. The ability to identify resources and seek input is critical to the success of this position

ORGANIZATIONAL SKILLS
Individual must be highly organized and maintain a wide variety of historical and current information.

TECHNOLOGY SKILLS
Position requires the individual to be competent in a variety of methods in research and information gathering through technology. The ability to present and communicate through technology is required.

Executive Director, Teaching and Learning

Position Description:
Provides outstanding and impactful leadership to the teaching and learning program that results in meeting the individual learning needs of each and every student. Responsible for creating a culture of continuous learning in alignment with the District’s Strategic Roadmap, all while working collaboratively with district and building leadership and teachers.

Duties and Responsibilities of the Position:

Provides leadership for all areas of teaching and learning, including staff development, Title I, Research and Assessment, Q-comp, equity, integration, enrichment, intervention, Targeted Services and online learning.
Provides vision, guidance, collaboration, and direction, based on a fundamental knowledge and understanding of teaching and learning and best instructional practices regarding the design and delivery of the ideal educational program.
Collaborates with other members of the executive leadership by serving as a member of the Superintendent’s Cabinet to facilitate joint progress of all aspects of the educational program.
Attends board meetings and works in cooperation with the building principals and the teaching and learning team to create and present school building improvement plans to the Board of Education.
Develop and maintain School Board policies, District protocols, operational plans, budgets, and programs related to teaching and learning that are in compliance with state and federal law and are consistent with the District’s strategic roadmap.
Ensures performance by monitoring student achievement and providing staff with appropriate feedback.
Convenes community curriculum groups as required by law and represents the District on Local, State, Regional and/or National committees.

Qualifications:Administrative license through the Minnesota Department of Education.  Master’s Degree in an educationally related field required. (Specialist or Doctorate preferred.)
Minimum of 5 years’ experience as a successful school administrator.
