Position Summary:
This position serves as the primary teacher of the REACH program that serves selected students in grades 6-8–two sections in each grade.  REACH stands for Responsibility-Education–Academics-Character-Hard Work. Class sizes are small (10-13 per section) and are supported by a full-time School Social Worker. Students work on goal setting in their personal and academic lives as well as personal growth. Their motto is: This is your life we are talking about. Nothing is more important. A background in understanding ACES (Adverse Childhood Experiences) and/or working with students who have experienced trauma or need additional emotional support would be beneficial.

Qualifications:
Valid MN 6-12  teaching license required.
Commitment to an equitable education experience for all.
Demonstrated understanding of cultural competence.
Consistent and reliable attendance.

Summary:

Business Manager is responsible for planning and supervising all business functions of the District to support general policies and objectives determined by the Superintendent and/or the School Board.  Duties include:  the analysis of District cash flow and the handling of District investments; supervising all accounting personnel of the District including the Payroll  Specialist; the preparation of all financial reports, statements or special reports required by the State, Superintendent, Board or other agencies; the coordination of annual audits; supervision of HR activities including benefits administration; responsible for MARSS reporting; responsible for budget preparation to include forecasting student enrollment and providing revenue and expenditure projections. Food Service is included in majority of duties and encompasses approximately 4.5% of total operating budgets.

The Business Manager is distinguished from other positions by its responsibility for planning and supervising all business functions of the District to support general policies and objectives determined by the Superintendent and/or School Board.

Essential Duties:

●     Analyzes District cash flow needs and requirements. Invests and codes all District revenues.

●     Supervises and coordinates the preparation of the District’s payroll to verify its completeness and accuracy.

●     Coordinates human resource activities primarily in the areas of employee benefits administration including the dissemination of benefit information, maintaining benefits records/files, communicating benefit program policies, amendments and specifications.

●     Maintains information on risk management including verifying insurance policies for accurate coverage and ask Board for authorization to call for bids, when applicable.

●     Responsible for MARSS data collected and assembled from all buildings and for reporting data to the Department of Education for proper revenue generation.

●     Maintains and updates UFARS codes as necessary.  Monitors all funds for UFARS accounting to allow for correct reimbursement of expenditures.

●     Completes and submits UFARS reports and other financial data to the Minnesota Department of Education or other authorized agencies/parties.

●     Completes and prepares all required financial accounting functions (i.e. reconciliation of bank statements, preparation of reports, financial statements), coordinates and directs the financial audit.

●     Provides financial reports as requested by the Superintendent or Board of Education.

●     Responsible for budget preparation to include forecasting student enrollments and providing revenue and expenditure projections.

●     Assists with collective bargaining negotiations by determining contract costs and provision costs/alternatives.

●     Performs other duties of a similar nature or level.

 

Family and Consumer Science Teacher – .6 FTE
