Executive Director of Cannon Valley Special Education Cooperative

2020-21 Graduate Teaching Fellowships

Openings are available for the Graduate Teaching Fellow Program (classroom experience while working on a masters degree program in Education).  Applicants must have a Bachelor of Science or Bachelor of Arts Teaching degree in Mathematics.

Seniors in a teacher education program who will complete all requirements for a Bachelor of Arts or Bachelor of Science Teaching degree, complete all required testing, and obtain appropriate Minnesota teacher licensure by August, 2020, or recent teacher education graduates (who have not held regular teaching appointments) are eligible to apply.  Application deadline:  April 20, 2020, or until filled.

We are a K-12 grade building, seeking talented and energetic teachers who have abilities and interests in this area.  The candidate will perform intermediate administrative support work maintaining student attendance records, answering phones, greeting visitors, maintaining and updating teachers, and related work as apparent or assigned. Work is performed under the limited supervision of the Building Principal and/or Assistant Principals.

School Social Worker

The Minnesota Math and Science Academy is looking for a school Social Worker starting with the 2020-2021 school year. We are a K-12 grade building, seeking talented and energetic educators who have abilities and interests in Social Work. School Social Workers assist mainstream and special education teachers and administrators in fulfilling their duties and responsibilities with all students.  School Social Workers participate in screening, evaluation, and/or intervention with preschool and school-age persons suspected of having emotional, social, behavioral, and/or learning difficulties.  In addition to contact with these persons, assistance may also involve consultation with parents, siblings, teachers, school counselors, school psychologists, school nurses, school administrators, and appropriate non-school personnel to inform, as well as advise on issues of student functioning and needs.  Services may also include school intervention strategies, behavioral management, in-service activities, and program evaluation.  All such services are intended to help school staff recognize and provide for the individual differences and needs of all children.
