ABOUT THE COMMUNITY/SCHOOL DISTRICT:

The Royalton Public Schools’ main office is in Royalton, Minnesota. The school district has an approximate enrollment of 932 pre-kindergarten through grade twelve students.

LEADERSHIP PROFILE: The Royalton School Board seeks a superintendent who:

  • Acts with honesty and in an ethical manner with the School Board, staff, and community
  • Effective mediates and accommodates different perspectives; values teamwork
  • Is familiar with state and federal education laws
  • Follows the School Board’s chosen educational philosophy which reflects the community’s values
  • Is visible and accessible to the School Board, staff, students, parents, and community

Previous superintendent experience preferred, but not required.

SALARY/CONTRACT:  The current superintendent’s base salary for the 2020-2021 school year is $130,341. The final salary will be negotiated commensurate with experience and qualifications. The contract length is negotiable as provided in Minnesota statute.

Innovation/Media/Technology Teacher

Full-time Innovation/Media/Technology teaching position between Lino Lakes and Scandia Elementary Schools, beginning as August 2021.  The split occurs over different days, not the same day.  This teaching position is responsible for teaching K-6 students about media use, technology use and if available helps with Maker Space activities and oversight.

Intermediate School District 917 is one of four intermediate school districts in Minnesota created by the state legislature in the late 1960s. The ISD 917 School Board was organized in March of 1970 and is comprised of one board member from each of the nine-member school districts. Currently, member districts include Bloomington, Burnsville/Eagan/Savage, Farmington, Hastings, Inver Grove Heights, Lakeville, Randolph, South St. Paul, and West St. Paul/Mendota Heights/Eagan.
