Preschool Teacher – Kaposia Education Center

This is a temporary position effective through June 4, 2020.  The position works 7.5 hours per day (Monday – Friday), and will follow the school calendar.

Job Summary
Provide a comprehensive and developmentally appropriate preschool experience for children. Guide children’s behavior in a consistent and positive manner.

Job Functions

Plan, implement, evaluate and coordinate curriculum and behavioral support with other staff.
Observe/monitor/assess/record each child’s development/behavior for reporting and progress monitoring.
Develop and maintain rapport with each child and provide positive behavior guidance to all children, plus provide for the health and safety of each child.
Provide a developmentally appropriate classroom – organized, safe and inclusive of learning centers.
Maintain and order supplies, equipment and materials as appropriate.
Plan and coordinate special events/celebrations of learning.
Develop and maintain communication with parents through daily greeting, parent info, conferences, progress reports, open houses, volunteering and events.
Provide support, direction, supervision and assistance to the assistant(s).
Respond appropriately to emergency or crisis situations.
Maintain appropriate records with the support of the assistant(s).
Maintain communication with all staff and participate as a team member.
Perform other general duties as assigned by your supervisor to accomplish the objectives of the Early Learning Program.
Participate in staff development training programs as assigned.
Attend staff, community education and district meetings as directed or necessary.
Other duties as assigned.

 

Tracy Area Public School Targeted Services Summer School Program Teacher

ISD 518 Targeted Services is looking to hire teachers at its Tracy Area Schools Satellite Site Summer School Program. Classes to be offered include basic academics (reading and math). Teachers will work with 12 to 15 students at the Tracy Area Elementary School. The program runs Monday through Friday from July 6 to the 24 from 8:30 AM – 1:00 PM. Early Childhood Education Teacher

Worthington District 518 Community Education is seeking an Early Childhood (EC) teacher.  Preference will be given to individuals who hold or qualify for a licensure in Pre-Kindergarten Early Childhood Education or B-3rd grade. Employment responsibilities include planning and facilitating educational activities for children ages 3-5 and supervising classroom educational assistants.  The EC teacher will report to the Early Childhood Education Coordinator.  This is a 1.0 FTE position.

English Language Learner (EL) Teacher

English Language Learner Teacher for 2020-2021 School Year

Position Summary:
Provide high quality instruction to identified students and serve as a collaborative member of our English Language Learner (EL) Team.  Position follows a co-teaching model, with EL Teacher collaborating with general education classroom teacher, working in collaboration to meet students’ needs in the area of literacy, math, and social-emotional learning.
Qualifications:
Valid Minnesota Teaching License. Valid ELL/EL/ESL Minnesota Teaching License. Consistent and reliable attendance.Bachelor’s degree with coursework in Education, certificate and/or experience in the area of reading intervention education preferred, or related field and moderate experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience; Valid Minnesota Teaching License. Valid ELL/EL/ESL Minnesota Teaching License. Ideal candidate will have a strong equity background, believing and ensuring all kids learn at high levels.  A strong demonstrated use of 21st Century learning strategies and approaches to ensure all learners achieve the highest levels. A strong background in literacy and language is preferred with in depth understanding and application of language acquisition and WIDA Standards. Bi-lingual skills in Spanish or Somali desired.
