Speech Language Pathologist – Long Term Substitute (2020-2021 School Year)
Position Summary:
This position is full time, for the 2020-2021 school year. The speech language pathologist performs professional work assessing and delivering instructional and clinical services to individual and small groups of students with speech and language impairments, and related work as apparent or assigned.
Qualifications:
Master’s degree in speech language pathology, or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience; Minnesota licensure in speech language pathology; Certificate of Clinical Competency preferred.
Physical and Health Disabilities Consultant
Hiawatha Valley Education District (HVED) provides special education services to 13 School Districts and 2 Charter Schools within five counties of southeast Minnesota: Fillmore, Houston, Olmsted, Wabasha, and Winona. HVED also has two (2) Setting IV Behavior Programs, Students Achieving Integrated Services (SAIL), that provide programming for students in grades K-12 with challenging behaviors currently receiving special education services. The SAIL programs are located in Kellogg (SAIL) and Hokah (SAIL II, opening in September 2020). Along with the SAIL programs, HVED provides programming for students with Autism Spectrum Disorder (SPECTRUM). Our SPECTRUM program is located in Caledonia. Work with students with physical impairments, other health impairments or traumatic brain injuries. Travel between school districts within Hiawatha Valley Education District is required. This is a .3 FTE position.
