Full Time Reserve Teachers:
Pay (These are not contracted positions and would pay our daily sub rate. Days 1-35=$135, Days 36-70=$140 and days 71+=$150)
We will most likely be hiring a large team of Full Time Reserve Teachers. This position will also be eligible for health insurance and sick leave.  These positions will provide day-to-day subbing support and will be guaranteed work every day which school is in session. We would prepare you for in-person and remote instruction.  In addition, in the event we were moved to full distant learning you would be asked to provide academic support to our on-site emergency childcare.
Qualifications:Must have a valid MN teaching license.
Ideal candidate will have previous elementary level teaching experience.
Ideal candidate will have deep knowledge of core areas such as Language Arts, Math, and early literacy.
Ideal candidates should also have experience with multiple instructional designs and differentiated strategies that support diverse learners.
Must have strong classroom management skills with the ability to maintain a positive learning environment.
Must have the ability to build positive working relationships with students, parents and staff.
Must have the ability to calmly and effectively deal with a variety of unexpected circumstances.
Must be proficient with current technology used to support communication, academics, and student progress monitoring.
Must be able to produce, analyze and respond to relevant data about student learning.

Director of Operations and Emergency Management

Job Summary: 
Provides general human resources services to designated employee groups within the School District.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:  

Staffing, Recruitment and Selection

  • Attract and retain quality employees of diverse backgrounds.
  • Responsible for coordinating the screening, hiring and on boarding process for new employees

Personnel Transactions/Data Entry/Audits

  • Record and track wage, step, and pay changes as well as promotions, job transfers, hiring, terminations.

Organizational effectiveness and internal consulting

  • Establish meaningful partnerships with internal customers to improve the effectiveness of the organization through related projects and initiatives.
  • Confer with management to develop or implement personnel policies or procedures.
  • Consult with supervisors on performance management.
  • Main contact between management and employees by handling questions, interpreting and administering contracts and helping resolve work-related problems.

Compensation, Classification and Job Evaluation

  • Develop job specifications for district positions.
  • Coordinate the district job evaluation process.

Human Resources record management

  • Establish and maintain all employee records.
  • Hire employees and process hiring-related paperwork.

Labor Relations

  • Collaborate with bargaining groups on contract administration issues.
  • Contribute as a member of the negotiations team.
  • Provide excellent customer service to employees, supervisors and the public.

Other duties as assigned by the Director of Human Resources.

Qualifications: 
Education/Certification Requirement:

  • Bachelor’s Degree with concentration in Human Resources, Psychology or related field.
  • One to three years of experience in Human Resources and/or process driven environment preferred.

Experience, Skills and Abilities:

  • Strong skills in using HRIS technology preferred.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational and administrative support skills.
  • Ability to work in high pressure fast paced environment.
  • Experience working in heavy team environment.

Working Conditions: 
Office environment.

American Indian Education Coordinator

Priority 1: American Indian Program Coordination

·         Acts as the district’s representative in matters dealing with programs and services for Native Americans.

·         Participates with district staff and the parent advisory committee in the design, implementation and evaluation of the district’s American Indian Education Program

·         Assists the director of curriculum and instruction and parent advisory committee in completing all state and federal reports.

·         Coordinates identification of Native American students who reside in District #12 and assists parents in obtaining 506 documentation.

·         Acts as an ex-officio member of the parent advisory committee.

Priority 2: Academic and Cultural Development

·         With parent advisory committee, plans and implements cultural activities for Native American students.

·         Provides academic support services such as tutoring, literacy support, peer mentorship, and homework assistance, in collaboration with the student’s primary educators.

·         With parents of Native American students, develops a plan that charts student progress toward graduation and post-secondary training.

·         Plans and coordinates student trips and experiences that will expand both their academic and cultural knowledge.

Priority 3: Community Engagement

·         Plans and hosts community celebrations and events that honor student achievements.

·         With parent advisory committee, organizes events and activities that are specific to Native culture, such as powwows, drum and dance events, and showcases that highlight student artistry or skills like regalia making, beadwork, Birchbark biting, and language mastery.

·         Fosters positive elder-youth relationships by connecting students with American Indian community members and organizations.

Priority 4: Curricular Support

·         With building principals, develops and implements cultural experiences for non-Native American students and staff which enhances cultural awareness and sensitivity.

·         Aids classroom teachers in identifying and implementing Minnesota State Standards that are inclusive of the American Indian experience.

 

Other tasks as may be assigned by the director of curriculum and instruction that are related to the job.
