Position:  Technology Professional

Location:  Garlough Elementary School

Rate of Pay:  $21.24 per hour

Hours:  8 hours per day; 185 days per year

Position Start Date:  November 25, 2019

Primary Function:  The Technology Professional is the first line of support for building level technical support, providing technical assistance for staff and student use of technology in the school building. The technology support position ensures school site technology is maintained and operates correctly. This position troubleshoots and resolves technical problems in the building. The position also supports teachers in use of technology for curriculum delivery and student engagement.

Line of Supervision: Director of Technology and Building Principal

Essential Functions of the Job Include but are not limited to the following:

Configure and maintain building Windows and Macintosh computers and Laptops for teachers, staff, and students.
Provide support for software application including: Google Apps, Google Mail, Microsoft Office, iWork, and building specific software.
Provide support for curriculum tools such as projectors, interactive white boards, iPads, digital cameras, and other electronic mobile devices.
Provide instruction to and assistance/consultation with staff on operations and use of technology.
Support students and staff for NWEA and state testing. Ensure hardware and software work properly.  Assist in the scheduling of testing and ensure student rosters are correct prior to each testing cycle. Prepare computer labs and computer carts for each testing session.
Manage building technology equipment, inventory, storage, and maintenance.
Assist teachers in integrating technology into the classroom curriculum.
Support teachers in the use of the Student Information System.
Support New Teacher Workshop and provide training for site technology.
Prior to the start of the school year, ensure building technology equipment is clean, properly imaged and ready for use by students and staff. Also, ensure software is current and operational.
Provide refresher training for teachers and staff at the start of the school year as needed.
Offer technology trainings throughout the school year.
At the end of each school year: disperse classroom inventory check-off lists to ensure the proper summer storage of equipment. Collect, clean and store building technology equipment.
Additional duties as assigned.
