Qualifications:

High School diploma AND two years of college OR Associate’s degree OR MN passing score on ParaPro assessment.
Effective behavior management and health support skills, able to maintain routine in a student’s day.
Effective communication and teamwork skills for interactions with staff, students, and parents.
Experience working in a center-based and inclusion setting.
Must be able to perform the essential job functions, which may include toileting, catheters, lifting, medication administration, gastric tube feedings, health tasks to support student, pool, DAPE, ability to work outside.
Demonstrated experience and proficiency working with a culturally, ethnically, racially and socioeconomically diverse school community is preferred.

Early Learning Assistant (Temporary)

This temporary position begins in January and ends at the end of the school year.  This position will work 6.75 hours per day plus half hour duty-free lunch, Monday – Friday, school days only.

Job Summary
Assist in providing a comprehensive and developmentally appropriate learning experience for all children and families.

Job Functions

Plan and implement curriculum, as directed by the teacher or Coordinator.
Provide a developmentally appropriate classroom – organized, safe and inclusive of learning centers.
Prepare/maintain supplies, snacks, equipment/materials and classroom environment, as appropriate.
Develop and maintain positive rapport, communication and interaction with each parent, child and staff member.
Provide positive behavior guidance to all children.
Greet each parent and child, request information from parents to best support each child and their learning style.
Assist with separation issues to support each child and parent.
Assist in implementation of strategies to promote the development of each child’s social, interpersonal, motor and readiness skills.
Observe, monitor, and record each child’s development and behavior, as needed.
Follow all health and safety guidelines.
Assist staff and participate as a team member to provide a quality program.
Respect confidentiality of students, families and staff members.
Implement program policies, procedures and philosophy to provide an engaged, positive learning environment for all.
Respond appropriately to emergency or crisis situations.
Attend staff, community education, district or staff development activities/meetings, as directed or necessary.
Remain flexible to assume duties as assigned.
Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Long-term Substitute Secondary Spanish Teacher – Faribault High School

Full-time (1.0) Long-term Substitute Secondary Spanish Teacher. This position will commence on February 15, 2021 through May 10, 2021.

General Information: Faribault Public Schools is a rural Pre-K through Adult School District located about 50 miles south of the Twin-Cities.
