Program Information:

A 1.0 FTE Speech and Language Pathologist position working at Park Terrace Elementary School with students with disabilities in grades K-4.

Position Overview:

The ideal candidate will provide excellent instruction and case management skills to students with speech/language and other types of disabilities.  This includes:

providing direct instruction to students;
working collaboratively with school staff and family homes, while managing all aspects of due process procedures and mandates;
communicating with parents to provide regular updates on student successes and challenges;
collaborating with principals, special education coordinator and staff, and professional learning communities, to ensure student needs are being met; and
maintaining student records of services provided, following Due Process best practices and compliance;

Security Monitor/Parking Lot Attendant – #4270

Position Purpose

Monitor student and staff parking lots, students in classrooms, academic flex areas and after school experiences.

Essential Job Functions

–  Issue student parking permits.

–  Monitor student and staff parking lots.

–  Issue district parking tickets.

–  Works with students individually and in small groups to reinforce basic learning and implement assigned programs.

–  Assists in strategies for reinforcing instructional materials and skills according to individual student needs.

–  Assists with classroom and building behavioral management to minimize disruptions, ensure a safe and orderly classroom, and ensure students are on task.

–  Assists students in non-instructional areas, such as supervising the student lunch programs, bus duty, playground duty, corridor, study hall, and other related non-instructional areas.

–  Assists in the management of the school building after school.Additional Duties:

–  Assist guidance, pupil services staff or building administration, as needed.

–  Perform any other related duties as assigned.

Primary Responsibilities:

Duties of this job include, but are not limited to…

under the supervision of a licensed Special Education staff, implementing Individual Education Plans (IEPs), customized and personalized for students;
having the ability and passion to work with students with disabilities;
working comfortably with students in individual, small group, and large group environments, in both general and special education settings;
working effectively with an interdisciplinary team, while having the ability to work independently;
working with school staff to provide support to students, in collaboration with teachers; and
participating in, and providing information for, team meetings related to student success and next actions.

JV Cross Country Coach – #4248

Duties:  Assist the varsity head coach with all aspects of the Spring Lake Park Cross Country Program including but not limited to setting up practices, meets, and schedules for the program; supervision of athletes at practices and meets.; care and maintenance of program equipment; arranging team transportation; working with booster club and regular meetings with other coaches to evaluate goals of the overall  program.  Must be able to adjust work schedule for practices and meets.
