Edina Public Schools has a full-time Special Education Resource Teacher – EBD position available at Concord Elementary School beginning as soon as possible through August 2019.
FT 1.0 Science position is available beginning the 2019-2020 school year at the Forest Lake Area Senior High School
Candidates must have the ability and passion to teach life sciences, remedial, regular and AP. (Preference give to dual licensed candidates)

Summary of Duties: Under indirect supervision, works closely with medical providers, primary care teams, and social services agencies to provide short term care coordination and connection to resources and support to program clients to improve their health and general well-being through education and provision of coordination of care and services. Qualifications Required:
High school diploma or GED; at least 3 years of experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.
Completed degree(s) from an accredited institution that are above the minimum Strong interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work effectively with a wide range of constituencies in a diverse community.
Knowledge of community agencies and resources.
Working knowledge of multi-system outreach programs related to health care delivery, clinical education, and health-related services
Ability to plan, implement, and evaluate individual client care plans.
Knowledge of transportation and other barriers to care that may be encountered by client.
Ability to communicate medical information to health care professionals and care coordinators over the telephone.
Skill in use of personal computers and related software applications, including e-mail.
Skill in organizing resources and establishing priorities.
Creative and analytical thinking.
Valid MN Driver’s License and reliable transportation.
Other Information: This is a full-time, 12-month, non-affiliated position with Category II benefits.

Reading Teacher (full-time, 1.00 FTEs)
Early Learning
A position is available for a full-time (1.00 FTEs) Reading Teacher with the Early Learning department for the 2019-20 school year. MN licensure in PreK-3 or Reading licensure required.
Summary of Duties: The certified teacher implements a series of decisions based on the numerous principles of learning which when practiced should increase the probability that learning will take place. The reading teacher will coach early learning teachers on literacy development and reading strategies to build the capacity of staff on reading instruction. This would be inclusive of working with the district’s parent educators on literacy development. The teacher may or may not develop and supervise extra-curricular or co-curricular activities.
