Position Summary

Days:  172 days

Hours: 7.25 hours per day

Compensation / Benefits:  Per Unit Agreement

Description:  Provide support to elementary special education students. Work under the direction of special educators to reinforce instructional strategies, provide behavior support, and assist with personal care  in all school environments. Work as a team member to implement IEP based instructional goals and adaptations including assistive technology. Collect student data and third party billing record documentation. Promote inclusion and self sufficiency of students in the school community.

Qualifications:  Must meet highly qualified standards as defined by the state; completion of AA degree, 60 college level credits or completion of para-pro exam. Completion of a pre-employment physical is also required.

Superintendent – Mauston WI

District Administrator (Superintendent of Schools). The school district is seeking a full-time superintendent effective July 1, 2019.

District

Mauston, WI. The School District of Mauston is a public PK-12 school district with approximately 1,455 students in one high school, one middle school, three elementary schools and two Charter Schools, one housed at Mauston High School and the other at West Side Elementary School. The Mauston School District is committed to quality instruction, achievement for all and collaborative community partnerships.  The annual budget is $18 million and district employees 225 full-time staff and 12 administrators.

Location & Community

Mauston is a rural community centrally located in Wisconsin on Interstate 90-94. Mauston’s location gives it the advantage of maintaining a “small town” life style with a short commute to “big city” activities. The Community is within a three-hour drive to both Chicago and Minneapolis. Close enough, yet far enough away to get quality rural talent and lower real estate costs. With a population of 4,500, Mauston maintains a small town feel, and yet serves as the Juneau County seat and a local retail center.

Several unique recreational and cultural experiences surround Mauston. Wisconsin Dells is only 20 minutes east of town. The second and fourth largest Wisconsin lakes with resorts and outdoor recreation are minutes north of town. Miles of state bike trails pass through the county, and the nationally acclaimed Necedah Wildlife Refuge lies few miles north.
