Wayzata Public Schools is currently seeking an Elementary Associate Principal, at Sunset Hill Elementary School (10-Month Position).  The Elementary School Associate Principal works collaboratively with the Principal to provide educational leadership for a school including staff and student supervision and instructional development focused on the success of each and every member of the learning community.

Specific Responsibilities: Assists the principal with the oversight of daily school operations to include: providing instructional leadership; developing student behavior standards and guidelines following MTSS guidelines and standards, and providing oversight for safety and security within the school environment.
Assists the principal with the supervision of staff to include: prioritizing and assigning work; conducting performance evaluations; ensuring staff are trained; ensuring that employees follow policies and procedures; maintaining a healthy and safe working environment; and, making hiring, termination, and disciplinary recommendations.
Works with the principal on developing the schedule and maintaining positive and consistent communications with staff, parents and the community.
Establishes, monitors, and enforces comprehensive student behavioral programs, ensuring consistency in the interpretation and application of policies and procedures, working closely with students, teachers, staff, and parents.
Ensures school site adherence and compatibility with District goals, objectives, and strategic initiatives; and sets the climate on issues related to applicable initiatives and policies.
Participates in a variety of meetings, which may include; District meetings, parent conferences, special education meetings and staff/committee meetings and other related meetings.
License Requirements:

Teaching License
Educational Administration License from the State of Minnesota
Graduate degree in Educational Administration and related experience in school administration.
