MAINTENANCE SPECIALIST

PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES: 1) Specializes in the HVAC portion of the district’s operation; new construction, remodeling, repair of existing areas, air lines, steam valves, traps. Maintaining, cleaning, troubleshooting HVAC equipment and repair of food service equipment. 2) May perform or assist with carpentry, electrical work, pneumatics, grounds work, glass replacement, snowplowing, snow shoveling. 3) Maintains and is accountable for tools available for use. Maintains a neat and orderly shop area in conjunction with other employees. 4) Identifies items needing repair or situations that could become a hazard throughout the district. 5) Perform a wide variety of skilled repairs to facility doors, windows, locks, glass, door closers, work spaces, machines and equipment, etc. 6) Other necessary tasks as instructed; i.e., moving furniture, painting, vandalism, clean-up.
