Assistant Director of Special Education/Student Services

Participates in various District and State meetings and committees in order to facilitate optimum planning and coordination of programs, services and activities. -Identifies and communicates present levels of performance, future needs, and areas of improvement of Student Service programs in order to develop and implement program improvements and to address student, parent, and staff concerns. -Assists in making decisions and recommendations related to human resource functions including hiring, supervision, staff development, performance management, training and related activities. -Assists in developing and recommending budget requirements and monitors and authorizes budget expenditures for Student Services programs. -Assists in developing and maintaining procedures that ensure compliance of District policy and practice with State and Federal regulations. -Performs related duties as apparent or assigned by the Executive Director of Student Services. -Provides consultation and collaboration with district building -administration regarding Student Services. -Participates in District and inter-agency meetings/committees to ensure special education input into planning and coordination of programs, services and activities.
