Payroll Specialist- Full-time, year round position. Salary $50,000.00 – $60,000.00, based on experience and education. This key position will serve as an integral member of the Finance and Human Resources team and will be responsible for handling all aspects of payroll processing for school district staff. *Process employee payroll accurately, efficiently, and according to state and federal guidelines. *Process federal, state, and civil wage levies, and submit payments according to state, federal and civil court guidelines. *Process both Minnesota and out of state child support deductions accurately, and submit payments in compliance with state and federal guidelines. *Process payments for TRA/PERA and federal and state taxes. *Calculate and process special payments. *Resolve routine payroll problems. *Ensure proper calculation and payment of sick pay, vacation pay, retro pay, and termination pay. *Document best practices and procedures pertaining to job. *Analyze and audit pay period reports to ensure accuracy. *Maintain current knowledge of applicable state, and federal wage and hour laws and union agreements.
