Major Responsibilities, Skills, Abilities:The Director of Technology, Safety & Security is a District level position that provides vision, oversight, and leadership for district information systems, services, data integration, and cyber security as well as the technical support teams located across the district to ensure support for the ever-changing technology needs of the district. This position designs, implements, and maintains hardware and software technologies that enable the district to accomplish its mission and support the department’s needs for information relative to their operations, strategic planning, promoting effective resource management, enhanced customer service and promoting internal and external communications. The Director of Technology Safety & Security is responsible for the development of integration strategies, cyber security, district network and hardware, and instructional technology initiatives in collaboration with other district departments and for communicating and implementing these initiatives with the instructional support team.  This position plays a critical role in safeguarding our digital infrastructure, and physical infrastructure, ensuring data privacy and security.
Education and Experience Requirements:Bachelor’s degree in information systems or administration and/or equivalent experience
Five (5) years’ experience in similar position/essential duties of position

Major Responsibilities, Skills, Abilities: Under the general direction of the Assistant Superintendent and Director of Teaching and Learning or designee, the Multi-Tiered System of Support Teaching Learning Leader will be responsible for planning, organizing, and developing district multi-tiered systems of support, including the development of the following domains: social-emotional learning and relationships, positive school climate and behavioral supports, Family and Student Engagement, Tier II supports for students at all levels, Attendance and Intervention monitoring, restorative practices and academic supports. In collaboration, the Teaching and Learning Leader will offer support with I teams, dean meetings and professional development around these areas.

Compensation and Yearly Duration of Employment: Compensation and benefits will be determined by the Contract Agreement negotiated by District 112 and the Association of Building Administrators. This position is not eligible for overtime or comp time.

Key Responsibilities:

Direct Student Services: Take charge of student management, discipline, and academic achievement. Coordinate and implement discipline and attendance programs, enforce rules, and follow up on referrals. Make informed decisions concerning discipline and suspensions to maintain a conducive learning atmosphere.
Event Supervision: Participate in and supervise various school events, functions, and activities to ensure smooth operations and student engagement.
Collaborative Leadership: Collaborate with teachers and staff to enhance student achievement. Implement district and building policies effectively while addressing behavioral issues and documenting disciplinary actions.
Teacher Supervision and Evaluation: Supervise and evaluate teachers and departments, conducting observations and formal evaluations. Provide mentorship and support to staff, aiding in their professional development.
Public Relations: Act as a liaison between stakeholders, including teachers, counselors, parents, and students, addressing discipline and welfare concerns effectively.
Safety and Security: Monitor and assist in building security measures, formulating procedures to safeguard the safety of students and staff.
Committee Participation: Collaborate on district or building-level committees, task forces, and administrative meetings to address educational issues and operational concerns.

Job Summary:  To inspire and prepare each and every scholar with the confidence, courage and competence to achieve their dreams; contribute to community; and engage in a lifetime of learning. The Director provides system leadership and articulation in the effort to eliminate the disparities in student achievement across racial, socio-economic, and other identifiable student groups such as English Learners. Be a strategic partner to cultivate diverse and inclusive relationships with key leaders, emphasizing equity and an equitable approach in fostering impactful collaborations. Provides strategic forward thinking systemwide strategic planning while also being able to focus on multiple moving parts.  Develop, delegate and oversee American Indian Education (AIE), Family and Community Engagement (FACE), Multilingual Learning (MLL), and Educational Equity with the understanding to encompass collaboration across the system with internal and external stakeholders. Willingness to actively participate in district and community events as part of the role. Required to facilitate and deliver professional development training to all stakeholders. Provide guidance and support for our black, brown, indigenous, LGBTQIA2S+ and other intersectional, minoritized communities.

Responsibilities and tasks include: Promotion of an inclusive and socially just educational environment through consciousness development and anti-racist framework

Lead strategic plan priority result team: support the implementation of the mission and strategic plan.
Develop and implement programs to address opportunity gaps within Osseo Area Schools.
Design, deliver or otherwise provide professional development opportunities for the staff and leadership in intercultural competence, and culturally responsive teaching.
Ensure an equity lens in the planning, development, implementation, and evaluation of curriculum and professional development by collaborating with others in the teaching and learning department.
Coordinate action related to educational equality in schools and district wide.
Collect and disseminate information from data driven research, promising educational practices, and professional resources to improve the educational experience of racial, ethnic, and economically diverse students.
Collaborate with building principals to develop activities and plans related to issues of equity and integration for their staff.
Collaborate with school administrators to review achievement data and develop School Operational Plans (SOP) with a focus on closing the learning gap and development of cultural competencies.
Develop and support an evaluation process of the SOP to determine the impact of equity interventions on individual student achievement.
Provide leadership to building administrators as they work to develop cultural competencies; close learning gaps; engage staff in conversations around anti-racist dispositions and develop effective interventions to meet the needs of their diverse learners.
Work collaboratively to develop, oversee, and monitor district Achievement & Integration grant.
Supervise the staff of American Indian Education and the American Indian Education program.
Oversees and provides leadership in the organization, planning implementation and coordination of systemwide efforts around newly developed equity oriented strategic plan.
Collaborate with L&A Leadership in support of the Magnet Schools.
Serves as a content expert while providing technical expertise to staff, volunteers, committee members, district personnel for the purpose of developing infrastructure, programs, and activities to achieve system strategic goals.
Embody the organization’s core values and ensure Educational Equity staff and programmatic efforts are in alignment with district mission and 3-year operational plan.
Program coordination and improvement, budget and operational oversight of district magnet programs. These may include professional development, coordination with school leaders and staff.

Communication and parent engagementProvide leadership to all parents and families to become aware of, and able to access, opportunities within Osseo’s system of school choice that meet the educational needs of their children.
Develop and disseminate information to the public on issues related to educational equity through written reports, speeches, presentations, and other means.
Develop and maintain contacts with a range of community organizations regarding issues of integration and educational equity.
Responsible to resolve and reconcile issues or concerns presented by families, students, staff or the community regarding diversity, integration, or equity.

Grant management and accountabilityDirect the department budget planning, monitoring, reporting and evaluation systems and procedures and collaborate with K-12 Operations Coordinator to process and track capital goods purchased with grant and categorical funds to meet auditing and accountability requirements.
Collaborate with principals to ensure effective partnership with coordinators, SDAS’s, and equity specialists.
Collaborate with system leaders on the development and implementation of policies, programs, procedures, and plans to ensure desegregation provisions of government legislation and rules are followed.
Monitor and analyze building level data as needed and provide reports to program managers and building administrators.
Produce internal reports as requested in relation to individual grants and categorical funding sources.

Department Leadership and Continuous ImprovementResponds to a wide variety of inquiries of staff, district personnel, and other professional organizations for the purpose of resolving problems, providing information and/or referring to appropriate personnel to ensure the honoring of the humanity around us.
Assist other personnel as may be required for the purpose of ensuring an efficient and effective work environment.
Mentor and develop staff using a supportive and collaborative approach on a consistent basis.
Establish and monitor staff performance and development goals, assign duties, set objectives, establish priorities, and conduct performance reviews.

Minimum qualifications include:

Master’s degree in an educational field and/or cognitive science or related field; Educational Specialist.
Must hold a Minnesota principal or administrative license.
Three years experience in a related field.
Three years supervisory experience.

Judgment – analyze issues and seek multiple perspectives before making decisions; use sound judgment considering immediate and long-term impact of decisions and apply systems thinking. Decisive and responsive decision-making and consultative support to management.
Communication – foster two-way, open communication; listen and respond with empathy; communicate effectively verbally and in writing; apply meeting protocol; produce thorough and accurate reports. Communicate effectively in public presentations.
