Learning Resource Teacher

Position: Learning Resource Teacher (LRT)

Essential Functions:

Deliver reading instruction to small groups of students.    Assess and evaluate student performance using progress monitoring tools; determine the need for re-instruction or need for new approach; reinforce information previously taught in the classroom; monitor student performance and behaviors and determine how to approach negative behaviors.

Develop and plan instructional activities; develop and implement lesson plans personalized for individual student needs;  implement student assessments and evaluate results; work collaboratively with the student intervention team and classroom teachers.

Supervise students during the school day according to the established building schedule; provide indirect supervision during regular school days.

Participate in meetings as necessary or required; attend professional development activities.

2025 or upon mutual agreement.   Master’s Degree plus 30 or Specialist Degree; Minnesota
Principal Licensure and five years of successful teaching/administrative experience required.

Lino Lakes STEM and Immersion School is part of the Forest Lake Area School District, serving
approximately 420 students in kindergarten through sixth grade.

Director of Human Resources

SUMMARY:
The Director of Human Resources plays a central role in maintaining the district administrative systems.  Reporting to the Superintendent, the Director of Human Resources is part of the administrative team responsible for the successful and efficient operation of the school.  This position will work closely with the Superintendent to ensure that the operational functions, including employee negotiations, legal compliance and other human resource work supports the success of the district

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
This class specification lists the major duties and requirements of the job and is not all-inclusive.  Incumbent(s) may be expected to perform job-related duties other than those contained in this document and may be required to have specific job-related knowledge and skills.

Develops, organizes, coordinates, implements and evaluates areas related to human resource management in the district.

Perform as lead employee to successfully accomplish the job responsibilities associated with the Director of Human Resources position.

Perform other duties as assigned by the Superintendent.

PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:

Administers, supervises and provides leadership administering of human resource (HR) programs, functions, budgets and staff.
Leads a culture of customer service orientation and continuous improvement that sets the tone for the district and the department.
Collaborates and works closely with district administrators developing personnel processes and district policies, procedures and manuals.
Interprets and implements HR policies and procedures, union contracts and collective bargaining processes and procedures.
Monitors, coordinates, tracks and records district performance management and evaluation procedures; determines accordance with district policies and procedures.
Monitors the ACA (Affordable Care Act) and ensures compliance at the district level.
Coordinates and participates in preparing compliance, affirmative action and unemployment reports.
Conducts compensation studies and makes recommendations for changes in classifications, salary ranges and pay structures.
Completes pay equity reporting and maintains job descriptions.
Assigns, directs, trains and reviews staff work; provides recommendations regarding hiring, rewarding, transferring, promoting, suspending, terminating and demoting employees; evaluates performance and develops staff schedules.
Serves as district liaison between employees and administration regarding human resource related issues, questions and concerns.
Attends, participates and represents the district before various groups, committees, task forces and professional organizations at the local, metro, regional and state level.
Attends board meetings and work sessions as needed.
Provides analysis and counsel on legal, policy and school issues related to data privacy, equal employment opportunity complaints, due process, compliance, outsourcing agreements; draft review of vendor contracts and actual or anticipated lawsuits.
Represents the district at various legal proceedings.
Oversees the development and administration of policies, procedures, programs, goals and objectives; presents them to the Board as necessary.
Manages, investigates and resolves employee concerns and grievances by administering labor contracts so as to maintain fair and equitable treatment of employees and to assure compliance with negotiated agreements; anticipates and guards against legal risks facing the district; develops and recommends policy and position on legal matters.
Maintains records and coordinates the preparation of various reports regarding the district human resource programs such as unemployment, workers’ compensation, retirement, pay equity and submits them to the proper agency.
Administers and monitors the department budget including the allocation of resources and approval of expenditures.
Negotiates and administers all union and employment contracts on behalf of the district; drafts and administers vendor, client and employment contracts.
Other duties as assigned by the Superintendent and School Board.
