Job Summary: To inspire and prepare each and every scholar with the confidence, courage and competence to achieve their dreams; contribute to community; and engage in a lifetime of learning. Provide instruction and support in the curriculum areas or program for which employed including writing and implementing individual scholar goals and objectives, evaluating scholar performance according to the goals and objectives on the Individual Educational Plan (IEP) used by the district, promoting scholar achievement, maintaining required scholar records, making related reports to the site/department licensed administrators as prescribed or authorized by the superintendent, maintaining contact and communications with guardians/caregivers of scholars and working with them in the development of each scholar, performing classroom management duties, enforcing district rules governing conduct, understanding and implementing due process guidelines following state and federal rules, regulations and district policy; make appropriate and equitable use of instructional resources and technologies; implement the goals and objectives of the district and the school and/or program for which employed; provide in-person, synchronous, and asynchronous learning when applicable; work collaboratively with others.  Willing to participate in district, building, department, or program leadership activities.

Special Education Classroom Teacher

Minimum qualifications include:

Bachelor’s Degree required
MN teaching license in Early Childhood Special Education OR a valid MN teaching license in another field and willing to obtain an Out of Field Permission.*
If not currently licensed, must be willing and eligible to apply for and receive a Tier 1 or 2.*

Salary Range: $52,851 – $104,522 for a 185 day contract @ a 1.0 FTE  (Salary will be prorated based on contract days in assignment and FTE, education, and experience). Salary and benefits pursuant to the Chaska Education Association (CEA) Collective Bargaining Agreement.
Compensation and Yearly Duration of Employment:  Compensation will be determined by District 112 and the Chaska Education Association (CEA). Currently under negotiations.
Qualifications: Valid State of Minnesota License in Elementary Education K-6

Reading Intervention Title I Teacher

Essential Functions:

Deliver small group instruction in reading and mathematics according to team recommendations and progress monitoring.

Assess and evaluate student performance; provide intervention services in mathematics and reading, reinforce information previously taught in the classroom;  monitor student performance and behaviors and provide support for behavioral intervention as needed.

Develop and plan instructional activities; develop and implement lesson plans personalized for individual student needs; implement student assessments and evaluate results; participate in staff development, collect and prepare student data for the student intervention teams, research topics and materials designed to improve instructional presentations.

Collaborate with general education teachers, Student Intervention Teams, and communicate with parents and administration regarding student data and progress.

Collaborate with staff in evaluating individual student issues and approaches to instructional units; evaluate new teaching technologies and/or procedures.
