Position Summary:
The Music Teacher will serve as a student-centered educator who is a learner and warm demander for all learners. The teacher will establish collaborative & impactful relationships with colleagues, families, and students. Teacher will understand and model best instructional practices, serve as a member of a Professional Learning Community, and ensure high levels of student learning aligned to state standards and district curriculum. Candidate must have a learner, inclusionary, and equity-focused mindset and see that their presence has an impact with students and our school environment.
2 positions available – one elementary and one .70 elementary/.30 FTE middle school
Qualifications:
-Valid MN K-12 Music Teaching license.
-Student-Centered
-Commitment and belief around ensuring all students learn at high levels.
-Demonstrated use of research-based instructional and engagement strategies to meet the continuum of individual learning needs while using data and assessments to guide instructional decisions.
-Ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues, parents, and students to achieve student learning results.
Rate of Pay:
Based on candidate’s experience and education per the OEA Master Agreement *pending contract negotiations
