Job Summary:

Coordinates a comprehensive student athletics and activities program. As part of the high school leadership team, provide effective leadership that will ensure a nurturing environment and that each student continuously achieves their highest aspirations.

Essential functions of the job may include but are not limited to the following:

Organizes and administers the overall program of extracurricular athletics and activities in accordance with the MSHSL rules and regulations.
Provide leadership in the selection, assignment, training, and evaluation of athletic coaches, activity advisors, staff members, athletic workers, activity workers and officials. Confer with the high school principal regarding filling activity and athletic staff vacancies.
Foster good school-community relations by keeping the community aware of and responsive to the extracurricular programs.
Interact and support with booster clubs.
Perform all duties required to organize and schedule all athletic and activity events and practices.
Arrange transportation for athletic and activity participants.
Supervise and coordinate supervision of home events and ensure coaches/advisors report scores and information timely to the media.
Provide representation at the Minnesota State High School League meetings, and communicate information to activities staff.
Provide representation at South Suburban Conference and perform duties as required by conference affiliation.
Develops and places into operation appropriate rules and regulations governing the conduct of activities and events.
Verifies each participant’s eligibility according to established physical and academic requirements of eligibility for participation in each activity.
Monitor requisitions, and equipment budgets for the entire extra-curricular program.
Submits information regarding coaches’ salaries and hours of service to Human Resources.
Supervises tickets sales and fundraising events of athletics & activities programs.
Oversees student registration for activities and athletics and associated fees in the online registration system.
Keeps records of the results of all high school athletic/activity contests, and maintains a record ?le of all award winners, stating the date and type of award, including athletic scholarships.
Works with Buildings and Grounds and other related district staff concerning facilities’ needs, maintenance, and long term planning.
Interprets students’ eligibility and prepares eligibility lists.

Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess a MDE license in Health and Physical Education.  Preference will be given to the applicant(s) who have a license in Adaptive Phy Ed (DAPE).

Responsibilities
– Develops lesson plans and instructional materials to teach K-6 Phy Ed Classes.
– Translates lesson plans into developmentally appropriate learning experiences.
– Communicates regularly with parents via Synergy, newsletters, phone calls, e-mails, conferences, etc.
– Works in a supportive and collaborative manner with colleagues and supervisors.
– Participating in building and department meetings and workshops in an effort to stay current with best teaching practices.
– Participates in a professional learning community on a regular basis.
– Integration of technology into instruction.
– Performs other duties of a similar nature or level.

Executive Assistant to the Superintendent

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities Needed:
Demonstrate strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines efficiently. Exceptional written and verbal communication skills are essential, along with the ability to exercise discretion when handling confidential information. Proficiency in Google Workspace and other communication tools is required, as is the ability to manage complex processes with accuracy and attention to detail. The candidate should possess strong interpersonal skills, fostering positive relationships across diverse teams and stakeholders. Familiarity with school board processes and public meeting requirements is preferred, along with the flexibility to adapt to changing demands and interruptions in a fast-paced environment.

Specific Tasks:
The Executive Assistant to the Superintendent provides high-level administrative, organizational, and communication support to the Superintendent and School Board, ensuring smooth operations and effective coordination across the district. This role manages calendars, meetings, correspondence, and sensitive information with discretion, supports School Board processes and compliance, and collaborates with the Communications Team to maintain clear, consistent messaging. The Executive Assistant helps align priorities, fosters positive relationships with staff, leadership, Board members, and the community, and contributes to the implementation of Superintendent and Board initiatives. Hours Per Day:

Full-time position,12 months per year.

Includes occasional evening and weekend duties.

Current pay rate per 25-26 Terms and Conditions.

Starting July 1st, salary will increase in accordance with a new Terms and Conditions agreement.

Art Teacher – Part-time

Summary of Duties:
Mankato Area Public Schools seeks an Elementary Art Teacher who is responsible for teaching art to students in grades K-5 and assists the staff of the school in the improvement and appreciation of art instruction. Candidates should help students grow in their enjoyment, appreciation, and creativity throughout art education. This position does require travel between Mankato area elementary school locations to provide general art instruction.

Qualifications Required:
MN licensure in K-12 Visual Arts is required

Salary Range:
$38,000 – 69,000 (based on the MTA salary schedule)
