Grantsburg High School is looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic teacher to join our award-winning school and lead our hands-on technical education program. We welcome applicants who are certified in Wisconsin or willing to obtain DPI certification. Most importantly, we’re looking for someone who enjoys working with students, building positive relationships, and creating an engaging learning environment.

This position offers the opportunity to collaborate with a supportive and talented team while using state-of-the-art equipment, including a fabrication lab.  Potential classes include woodworking, metals/welding, engineering, building construction, and CNC/clean manufacturing.  The classroom high end equipment in both the general shop area and the clean tech area.  Plasma cutters, laser engravers, vinyl cutters, and 3D printers are all included in the fabrication lab. EDGE Afterschool Site Assistant – 2026-2027 School Year

ISD 518 Targeted Services is looking to hire a site assistant at Prairie Elementary, Intermediate School and Middle School for its summer programming. The site assistant will help support the Alternative Learning Center  Dean of Students with various programming duties. Essential Functions

The following identifies the primary and essential functions of the position and is not intended to be an exhaustive listing of all duties. Some functions listed may be more prominent than others depending on organizational needs.

  • Assists in developing and facilitating the District strategic plan as it relates to the Special Education Division;
  • Assists in the direction and evaluation of Division staff;
  • Assists in ensuring Division-wide compliance with statutes and regulations regarding special education and MDE billing;
  • Provides leadership and support to Instructional Leaders and Program Facilitators in their respective programs;
  • Provides instructional leadership toward achieving District-wide Instructional Results.
  • Supports the District Special Education referral process and District centralized intake process.
  • Collaborates with member district directors and coordinators in facilitating referral and placement process.
  • Assists in the administration of the Division’s special education programs to conform to Board policies and District uniform procedures;
  • Assists in the preparation, administration and monitoring of the Special Education budget;
  • Collaborates with other divisions within the District to address District-wide issues and, specifically, student support services;
  • Provides leadership and facilitation with advisory committees and Special Education Director Advisory Committee as assigned;
  • Collaborates with outside agencies on behalf of the District regarding student needs;
  • Represents the Division at meetings with external stakeholders regarding special education programs and initiatives;
  • Ensures that the District is responsive to the changing needs of member districts and those of a diverse, special-needs student population;
  • Assists in implementing and complying with Board policies and District uniform procedures;
  • Assists in ensuring the mentoring, training and staff development of Division employees;
  • Provides leadership in meeting Division and District standards;
  • Directs and performs special assignments and initiatives as assigned;
  • Foster a culture of innovation and facilitate action on innovative ideas in order to achieve our mission.

 

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Considerable knowledge of and ability to apply management principles and techniques, including initiation and administration of programs among multiple districts;
  • Knowledge of curriculum standards and models for programming in special education and general education settings;
  • Knowledge of instructional practice and professional development models for K-12 and specialty areas within K-12 education;
  • Considerable interpersonal, negotiation and conflict resolution skills;
  • Considerable ability to implement relevant Federal and State statutes, guidelines and regulations in special education;
  • Considerable ability to communicate both verbally and in writing, including public speaking;
  • Ability to ensure application, development and update of policies, procedures and operations;
  • Ability to implement data driven decision making;
  • Ability to work with people from diverse backgrounds.
