2024-25 Graduate Teaching Fellowships

Openings are available for the Graduate Teaching Fellow Program (classroom experience while working on a masters degree program in Education).  Applicants must have a Bachelor of Science or Bachelor of Arts Teaching degree in Family and Consumer Science Education.

Seniors in a teacher education program who will complete all requirements for a Bachelor of Arts or Bachelor of Science Teaching degree and obtain appropriate Minnesota teacher licensure by August, 2024, or recent teacher education graduates (who have not held regular teaching appointments) are eligible to apply.  Application deadline:  until filled.

The Director of Nutrition Services plans, organizes and directs the operation of the district food service programs, including; menu planning, planning of new services; facilities planning; personnel management; resource allocation and financial management; and organization and implementation of nutrition education.

The DaVinci Academy of Arts and Science’s main office is located in Ham Lake, Minnesota. The district has an approximate enrollment of 950 kindergarten through grade eight students.

SALARY/CONTRACT:  A competitive compensation and benefits package, with a salary of $150,000, will be negotiated commensurate with experience and qualifications. Contract length is negotiable as provided in Minnesota statute.

Digital Arts Teacher – 0.5 FTE

Position Title:  Digital Arts Teacher – 0.5 FTE (Middle School)

Start Date:  2024-2025 School Year

Position is a part-time, part of the teacher bargaining unit and based at Mahtomedi Middle School.  Salary and benefits part of Master Agreement

Minimum Requirements:

Must have a valid MN Middle School Visual Arts license, or able to obtain the appropriate license from PELSB, Professional Educator Licensing and Standards Board.

Qualifications:

  • The Digital Arts Teacher must be knowledgeable in the use of current and emerging technologies to create photographs, video, audio, computer arts, digital arts, and interactive media for communication. As well as be well-versed in using the elements of space, time, light, color, motion, and sound to express perspectives and ideas.
  • The Digital Arts Teacher must be able to collaborate with other content areas to support arts integration as well as ensure students are exposed to diverse areas of the digital arts including the importance of digital citizenship and copyright laws and regulations.
  • Proven leadership skills and the ability to build relationships with students, colleagues, and community
    Excellent communication skills with students, parents and staff

Responsibilities:

  • Identify the needs of students through formal and informal assessments
  • Plan, develop and implement appropriate lessons to ensure the achievement of student growth
  • Communicate with students, parents and staff on regular basis on student progress
  • Encourage and monitor the progress of individual students and use information to adjust teaching strategies
  • Foster a community where all people are valued, respected, seen and heard
  • Inspire robust academics, critical and creative thinking and continuous personal growth
  • Create world-class learning experiences that integrate multiple perspectives
  • Update all necessary records accurately as required by laws, district policies and school regulations
  • Attend department, school and parent meetings or functions
  • Other job-related duties as assigned

Elementary Special Ed. Teacher

Chatfield High School has an opening for an Elementary Special Education Teacher. A bachelor’s degree from an accredited college/university in Education required.  Working Under the general supervision of the School Principal, to facilitate student success and growth in academic and interpersonal skills through implementing district approved curriculum; documenting teaching and student progress/activities/outcomes; addressing specific educational needs of individual students and by creating a flexible, safe and optimal learning environment; and providing feedback to students, parents and administration regarding student progress, expectations, goals, etc.
