Reports To:  Building Principal
Compensation: Annual base salary of $110,209. Additional compensation, including Education Credit, pursuant to the Principals’ Association Master Agreement.

Major Job Functions:
The Administrative Dean is responsible for providing assistance to the Principal in the general administration and management of the building.  The Administrative Dean is the primary administrator and coordinator of the day to day student management and attendance matters.  The Administrative Dean will also assist the principal in hiring and supervising staff and in providing instructional leadership and staff development opportunities for staff.

Education/Certification Requirements/Perferences:  Must possess or be eligible for a valid license as a principal in the State of Minnesota

Experience Requirements:  Exemplary teaching and/or administrative experience (Elementary experience preferred)

Benefits:  As defined by the parameters of the Principals’ Association Master Agreement, an annual amount of $10,500 will be available for the Administrative Dean to distribute as he/she designates among benefits (health insurance, dental insurance).  The Administrative Dean must enroll in at least single health coverage. Additional benefits include:Term life insurance policy equal to $250,000.00, the employee may purchase additional coverage (accidental death and dismemberment or supplemental life.)
District contribution to Deferred Compensation Plan up to $3,900 per year
Professional Development:  District contribution of $1500 per year
Professional Association Dues:  District pays for one State and one National association
Annual performance pay if requirements are met
Ten (10) days of Personal Time off (PTO) and three (3) sick days are granted per year

Digital Communications Specialist

Position Description:
Wayzata Public Schools is seeking a dynamic and creative individual to join our team as a part-time digital communications specialist. This role will contribute to the district’s communications efforts by leveraging various media channels to engage and inform our diverse stakeholders. The ideal candidate will possess a passion for visual storytelling, digital communications, and an ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. This is a part-time position with flexible working hours, approximately 20-25 hours per week. The digital communications specialist will report to the communications and community engagement manager and work closely with the entire district’s communication team.

Duties and Responsibilities of the Position:

Video Production: The digital communications specialist will be responsible for shooting, editing, and managing video content. This includes capturing footage of events, interviews, and highlights, editing raw footage into polished videos, and ensuring video content aligns with the district’s brand guidelines. Additionally, the specialist will organize and maintain a video library to facilitate easy access and retrieval.

Social Media Management: The digital communications specialist will play a crucial role in the district’s social media presence. They will be responsible for posting engaging and relevant content across various social media platforms, such as Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and YouTube. The digital communications specialist will also monitor social media channels, respond to inquiries, and engage with the online community. Furthermore, they will utilize analytics tools to track and analyze the effectiveness of social media efforts, making data-driven recommendations for improvement.

Graphic Design: The digital communications specialist will create visually appealing graphics and designs to support the district’s communication initiatives. This includes designing graphics for the district website, social media posts, newsletters, presentations, and other promotional materials. The specialist will collaborate with various stakeholders to understand their communication needs and translate them into compelling visual representations.

Website Management: The digital communications specialist will assist with website editing and maintenance.

Collaboration with Schools: The digital communications specialist will work closely with individual schools within the district to provide communication support and guidance. This may involve assisting schools in developing their social media strategies, creating promotional videos or graphics for specific events or initiatives, and offering training sessions to staff on best practices for communication and media production.

Performs other duties of a similar nature or level.

Early Childhood Family Education & Screening Manager

The Early Childhood Family Education & Screening Manager is an administrative leadership position which is responsible for developing, implementing, managing and evaluating Early Childhood Family Education, Early Childhood Screening, and Home Visiting programs, as well as School Readiness and Early Learning Scholarships, for the Lakeville Area Schools Community Education Department. This position supervises the ECFE & Screening Clerk, Early Childhood Programs Clerk, Reception & Security Clerk and Family Outreach Specialist as well as program and building staff. Through this role and related responsibilities, this position is an integral part in the successful delivery of activities, programs and services.

This is a full-time, year-round position. Although the position must maintain flexible working hours at various locations, the typical schedule will be weekdays from 8:00 am-4:30 pm at the Crystal Lake Education Center.

Human Resources Business Partner

This position reports to the Director of Human Resources.

Job Summary

The HR Business Partner is responsible for delivering and implementing employment/compensation/benefits programs and services as well as the maintenance, integrity and security of all applicable human resource data and records.

Job Functions

Support employment process, including advertising vacancies, tracking and maintaining applicant files, monitoring completion of required paperwork, and creating new employee files.
Determine placement on salary schedule for staff in consultation with Director and union representatives as needed.
Conduct employee orientations for all employees, ensuring all new employee onboarding materials are reviewed, and that new employees understand the benefit options related to their role.
Conduct the implementation and administration of all benefit programs for assigned group of employees.
Assure compliance with federal benefit regulations such as COBRA, FMLA and Long Term Disability.
Communicate all required benefits information to assigned employee group, payroll, and other involved departments and third-party vendors.
Collaborate with other HR staff to complete ACA reporting in conjunction with the payroll staff.
Work closely with payroll to submit bi-monthly employee status changes related to pay, position, employment status and benefits.
Collaborate with other HR staff regarding monthly insurance billing, and reconciliation.
Participate in work with benefits consultant in the administration of district benefit plans.
Partner with other HR staff in the planning, implementation, and processing of employee benefit changes through the yearly open enrollment process.
Participate on the district’s insurance advisory committee.
Process workers compensation claims, maintain employee personnel files, and work collaboratively with other HR staff to prepare and post year-end summary reports.
Collaborate with other HR staff to maintain OSHA logs and annual reporting.
Issue security badges, maintain database, and prepare reports as requested.
Submit background check requests for new employees and/or volunteers.  Monitor results of background checks and communicate with director.
Input new employees and update present employee change information in the Human Resources Information System.
Collaborate with other HR staff to prepare the staffing report for board approval.  Prepare and distribute board-approved employment changes and related materials following each school board meeting.
Assist with maintaining employee evaluation spreadsheets for certified and non-certified staff.
Enter and maintain license information and probationary status in HRIS system.
Collaborate with other HR staff to prepare and maintain seniority lists for all collectively bargained employee groups.
Review, process and enter in HRIS approved teacher lane changes.
Submit new hire report to State as required.
Work with college/university and building principals on student teacher placement requests; coordinate placement; and complete necessary paperwork including background check.  Maintain and update board approved agreements with colleges/universities.
Assist employees and supervisors relative to HR questions and concerns or refers questions to the appropriate person. Provide interpretation of the District’s Human Resources policies and procedures, legal requirements and collective bargaining agreements.
Create and maintain detailed procedures on tasks and processes.
Collaborate with other HR staff to maintain the co-curricular staffing roster and monitors to ensure staffing allocation is consistent with budget distributions, double checks stipends for accuracy and sends staff assignment letters.
Compile reports as needed and/or requested.
Process employee leave requests and retirements.
Investigate and determine legitimacy of unemployment claims and participates in hearings involving judges and former/current staff on behalf of the school district.
Other duties as assigned.

Director – Educational Technology & Innovation

Summary of Job Duties:  The Director of Educational Technology & Innovation is the leader in the development of innovative technologies that support teaching, learning, student development and organizational operations. The Director will develop and oversee district-wide technology policies, procedures, cybersecurity protocols, budgets, services and facilities while working collaboratively with administration to promote effective strategies for integrating technology into the curriculum and maintaining the digital infrastructure of the district.

Essential Functions:

Provide leadership in recommending and advocating for technology resources that will transform and support instructional learning experiences.
Analyze student achievement and recommend changes and/or adjustments related to technology resources and processes; share effective technical and instructional strategies with teachers for the effective use of technology in student learning.
Lead planning, implementing, and evaluating effective use of technology for adults and students in a standards-aligned, rigorous and differentiated PreK-Adult instructional programs.
Lead all phases of evaluation, procurement, implementation and training related to data communication networks, email, telephones, voicemails, internet services, web pages, student data systems, office productivity systems, and instructional software technology.
Disseminate technology-related information throughout the district via news bulletins, electronic mail, presentations at district and building level staff meetings, etc.
Maintain a continuous improvement cycle that leads to improved alignment and impact of technology tools supporting rigorous and standards aligned learning.
Develop, promote and maintain departmental goals that are in line with District goals and objectives.
Model the effective use of technology tools and encourage appropriate use of all technology resources.
Maintain up-to-date information concerning new ideas, new equipment and new programs that will and can support the goals of the District.
Lead the ongoing assessment and evaluation of the technology programming throughout the District.
Lead the technology department team to design, implement, integrate and/or maintain technology resources across all areas.
Develop and manage department budget; lead bid process for technology equipment and supplies to be purchased, coordinate requests for hardware/software and staff development.
Establish and maintain relationships with outside vendors supplying equipment, software and services.
Provide effective leadership and support in obtaining, installing and using technology resources.
Actively participate in professional development activities to improve on best practices for technology and innovation in an educational setting.
Develops and provides innovative professional development.
Leads working groups around best practice and implementation of innovative instructional practices.
