Speech Language Pathologist

Position Summary:
Performs professional work assessing and delivering instructional and clinical services to individual and small groups of students with speech and language impairments, and related work as apparent or assigned.

Qualifications:
Master’s degree in speech language pathology, or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience; Minnesota licensure in speech language pathology; Certificate of Clinical Competency preferred.

Other Skills & Abilities:
Thorough knowledge of speech and language diagnosis and therapy principles, practices and procedures; thorough knowledge of casework methods and procedures; thorough knowledge of local, state and federal resources, programs, procedures, laws, rules and regulations; skill in using computer equipment; ability to conduct interviews, assessments and diagnosis effectively and analyze needs and problems objectively; ability to communicate ideas clearly and concisely, orally and in writing; ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with children, students, parents, staff and administration and the general public.  Maintain the confidentiality of all information regarding students and staff.  Reliable and consistent attendance.

1.0 FTE EL Teacher – Roosevelt Elementary School

Job Description:  1.0 FTE EL Teacher – Roosevelt.  The ESL teacher will be working with students at the elementary level. The teacher will be providing English language development instruction to students who are emerging multilingual learners. The teacher will be working with students at various levels of English proficiency and in different instructional modalities. The teacher will be running basic language development classes for lower leveled students, and doing a combination of pushing and co-teaching for higher leveled students. The teacher is expected to collaborate with the grade level content teachers to support the development of multilingual learners in their most advantageous learning environment.  This position commences with the 2023-24 School Year on August 21, 2023.

1st Grade Teacher

The McKinley 1st Grade Teacher will serve as a student-centered educator who is a learner and warm demander for all learners.  Teacher will establish collaborative & impactful relationships with colleagues, families, and students.  Teacher will understand and model best instructional practices, serve as a member of a Professional Learning Community, and ensure high levels of student learning.  Candidate must have a learner, inclusionary, and equity-focused mindset and see that their presence has an impact with students and our school environment.  Position begins August 2023.

-Demonstrated use of research based instructional and engagement strategies to meet the continuum of individual learning needs while using data and assessments to guide instructional decisions.

Teaching and Learning Coach

Purpose:
The Teaching and Learning Coach has both content and instructional expertise in curriculum design, instructional best practices, and the integration and use of technology in the classroom. The Teaching and Learning Coach must understand how to analyze data and use results for instructional improvement. The Teaching and Learning Coach will demonstrate leadership qualities, interpersonal skills, and personal characteristics necessary for working effectively with new and experienced staff.

Qualifications:
–        MN valid teacher license certification
–        Requires a Master’s Degree in Education
–        Reading License preferred
–        Five (5) years of successful teaching experience
–        Proven record of improving student achievement

Essential Responsibilities:
–        Engage in job-embedded coaching with teachers in the area of curriculum, instruction, and assessment with a focus on integrating innovative instructional practices into daily instruction
–        Collaborate on the design, implementation, and facilitation of professional learning around innovative instructional strategies
–        Build capacity and leadership in other staff through consultation, collaboration, direct instruction, and job embedded coaching through a growth mindset
–        Demonstrate willingness to assume a leadership position by facilitating professional collaborative groups among teachers and coaches focusing on continuous improvement
–        Work positively toward meeting identified district and building improvement goals
–        Demonstrate knowledge and expertise in equity and culturally responsive teaching practices
–        Develop and maintain a confidential, collegial relationship with teachers while working collaboratively and collegially with other instructional, building, and district leadership
–        Assist teachers in obtaining resources to support instructional and professional learning
–        Participate in regular professional development to improve knowledge, skills, instructional coaching in literacy, math, STEM, and supporting the work of technology integration
–        Work collaboratively with teachers and administrators to focus on reflective dialog that drive instructional decisions and improves student achievement
–        Provide leadership in assessment to ensure classroom assessments are aligned with standards, curriculum, and instructional priorities
–        Assist with analyzing and interpreting data for promoting instructional improvement, improving student learning, and assisting in individual or district-wide staff development
–        Provide leadership with Multi-Tiered Systems of Support
–        Assist building principals in providing leadership for the Professional Learning Community (PLC)
–        Serve as a member of the School Leadership Team, Problem Solving Team, Staff Development Committee, and assist in other leadership roles

High School Associate Principal
