Job Summary
Support the District’s instructional program by assessing the academic deficiencies of the students, planning remediation in reading, and delivering supplemental instruction.

Job Functions

Plan daily lessons and deliver direct instruction and reinforcement of foundational skills in reading.
Select appropriate instructional materials to match student goals with skill objectives.
Collaborate and confer with classroom teachers to support students’ instructional needs.
Adhere to all district policies and procedures.
Support the district’s mission, vision and values.
Use appropriate classroom-based formative assessments and standardized assessment measures to identify student strengths and weaknesses, inform instruction, and monitor progress.
Maintain accurate and complete records to document and monitor progress and growth.
Create a classroom environment that is conducive to learning and appropriate to the maturity and interests of the students.
Deliver the district’s written, taught and assessed curriculum.
Maintain knowledge and skills with IB Program changes and updates.
Develop procedures and routines which allow for instruction of individuals and small groups.
Develop essential agreements for classroom behavior in accordance with district policy and guidelines and maintain order in the classroom in a fair and just manner.
Participate in educational plan preparation for children referred to the building’s student intervention team.
Collaborate with classroom teachers to report student progress to parents.
Strive to maintain and enhance professional competence through professional reading as well as participation in workshops, conferences and appropriate staff development programs in accordance with district guidelines.
Participate in ongoing PLCs throughout the buildings, and primarily the Special Service Team.
Collaborate with leaders to facilitate professional development opportunities for staff.
Other duties as assigned.

Business Education

Applicants must be able to perform at a high level as a part of a collaborative Science Department. Applicants may be asked to teach a variety of high school science courses but mainly will be teaching Chemistry.

Qualifications Required:
Current MN licensure in 9 -12 Science.

Qualifications Preferred:
Current MN licensure in Chemistry or Physics.

Job Summary:
Develop the student’s fullest acquisition of knowledge, skills, concepts, and attitudes.  Support the District’s instructional program by assessing the academic deficiencies of the students, planning remediation in reading and/or mathematics, and delivering supplemental instruction.

Job Functions

Plan and conduct activities for a balanced program of instruction, demonstration, and work time that provides students with opportunities to observe, question, and investigate.
Instruct students individually and in groups, using various teaching methods.  Adapt teaching methods and instructional materials to meet students’ varying needs and interests.
Observe and evaluate students’ performance, behavior, social development, and physical health.
Create a positive environment to ensure successful learning for all students.
Maintain knowledge and skills with IB Program changes and updates.
Meet with parents and guardians to discuss their children’s progress, and to determine priorities for their children’s social, emotional and academic growth.
Partner with parents or guardians, teachers, counselors, and administrators in order to support students’ academic and social-emotional development.
Maintain accurate and complete student records as required by laws, district policies, and administrative regulations.
Guide and counsel students with adjustment and/or academic issues or special academic interests.
Prepare objectives and outlines for courses of study, following curriculum guidelines or requirements of states and schools. Confer with other staff members to plan and schedule lessons promoting learning, following approved curricula.
Meet with other professionals to discuss individual students’ needs and progress.
Administer standardized, formative and state mandated assessments and interpret results to determine student strengths and areas of need.
Attend professional meetings, educational conferences, and teacher training workshops in order to maintain and improve professional competence.
Adhere to all district policies and procedures.
Support the district’s mission, vision, values and strategic plan.
Understand and maintain boundaries and confidentiality with students, families and staff.
Cultivate and develop inclusive and equitable working relationships with students, staff, families and community members.
Adhere to staff and program guidelines and district procedures and policies.
Demonstrate prompt, regular and reliable attendance.
