Long-Term Substitute

Rush City High School is seeking a full-time, long-term substitute teacher (1.0 FTE) for Physical Education and Health instruction. This position will run approximately March 27th, 2023 to May 23, 2023. Substitute Occupational Therapist

Worthington District 518 is seeking to hire a substitute Minnesota Licensed Occupational Therapist (OT).  Primary responsibilities involve assessing and serving students with physical, neurological, sensory and perceptual impairments to determine student’s functional skills within the educational environment.  OT would also be responsible for developing, implementing, and/or monitoring therapeutic programs and providing consultation to school staff and parents to maximize student potential. Master’s degree required. Need to be licensed or eligible for licensure in the State of Minnesota as an Occupational Therapist Registered.  NBCOT or AOTA accreditation preferred. The position is for 12 weeks, approximately January 2, 2023 – March 17, 2023.

Special Ed Teacher for ABS, EBD, or SLD

Worthington Middle School is seeking an Academic Behavioral Strategist (ABS) or Emotional Behavior Disorder (EBD) or Specific Learning Disability (SLD) Teacher to join our Special Education Department.  The candidate should have a current ABS, EBD, or SLD Special Education license in the state of Minnesota (or be actively pursuing such licensure.)  Applicants should be patient and kind; understand case management, IEP development, knowledge of systematic academic and behavior interventions and be willing to be trained on Sped Forms.  Experience with iPads in the classroom would be beneficial.

Assess and evaluate student performance against lesson plans; determine the need for re-instruction or need for new approach; reinforce information previously taught in the classroom; determine grades for reporting purposes; monitor student performance and behaviors and determine how to approach bad behaviors.

Develop and plan instructional activities; develop and implement lesson plans personalized for individual student needs; assist in the development and implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs); implement student assessments and evaluate results; determine assessment process for instructional units; research topics and materials designed to improve instructional presentations.

Prepare for substitute teachers; communicate with parents and participate in parent/student conferences; participate and prepare for peer evaluation process.

Supervise students during the school day according to the established building schedule; provide indirect supervision during regular school days.

Collaborate with staff in evaluating individual student issues and approaches to instructional units; evaluate new teaching technologies and/or procedures.

Participate in meetings (building staff meetings, departmental meetings, grade level meetings, staff development, open house/orientation) as necessary or required; attend professional development activities.

Industrial Technology Teacher
