North Branch Area Public Schools (NBAPS) offers a well-rounded education to bring out each student’s gifts and talents. With programs unique to the area, high school learners benefit from programming that exposes students to a vast array of learning opportunities.

North Branch Area High School is in the process of a redesign. Some changes include a shift from trimesters to semesters, flex time built into the schedule, and ongoing expansion of opportunities for students to apply learning beyond the classroom. College in the Schools (CIS) and Career and Technical (CTE) courses offer robust opportunities for each student to find their passion.

Job Summary: Provide collaborative, innovative leadership to tap into the creativity of staff and students. Lead with positive energy and commitment to provide each student with programming that aligns with their personal purpose and passion. The High School Assistant Principal assists the Principal in the daily functions that are necessary to provide a positive environment for the learning community. The responsibilities of this position include leadership of school schedule, management of student expectations and discipline procedures, management of day-to-day operations, ensuring consistent public relations, and support for supervision of personnel.

Qualifications:
Education: Master’s or Specialist Degree required
Experience: Secondary teaching experience preferred
Certification/Licensure: Hold or be eligible for a Minnesota Principal license

Salary Range:  *$115,580 – $128,195
*Based on the 2021 – 2022 salary schedule

Start Date: July 1, 2022

The MACCRAY School District (Maynard, Clara City, and Raymond) is looking for a 1.0 FTE Elementary Music Teacher for the 2022-23 school year, beginning July 1, 2022.  For the ‘22-23 school year, we are proud to be opening a newly-built, one-campus facility, all located in Clara City, near the intersection of MN Hwy 7 and MN Hwy 23.  This $40M project combined both elementary schools as an addition to our remodeled and expanded high school.  We are also excited to add a new Performing Arts Center, expanded CTE classrooms, a new fitness center on-site, and a designated middle school area.

 

MACCRAY is located in the heart of the prairie in West-Central Minnesota, located approximately 16 miles West of Willmar and about 90 miles West of the Twin Cities. Whether you like to golf, hunt, fish, snowmobile, or enjoy nice restaurants and shopping, you can do all of these activities either in or within 30 minutes of our three communities.

 

The ideal candidate will hold a valid MN Vocal Music teaching license.

 

Position qualifications include holding a bachelor’s degree in education or a related field.  A MN teaching license, or the ability to obtain a license, is also required.

 

Coaching opportunities include: Head Volleyball, Assistant Volleyball, Cross Country, Assistant Girls Tennis, Wrestling, Assistant/JH Track & Field, Knowledge Bowl, Musical/Play Directors.

School Counselor

Position Summary: 
The School Counselor promotes and enhances the overall academic mission by providing services that strengthen home/school/community partnerships and alleviate barriers to learning.  The School Counselor significantly contributes to the development of a health, safe and caring environment by advancing the understanding of the emotional and social development of children and the influences of family, community and cultural differences on student success and by implementing effective intervention strategies.  The School Counselor will be a part of each school’s student assistance team.

Position Requirements:
Master’s degree and licensure as a School Counselor.  Experience and training in group and individual counseling with school-age population.  Working knowledge in areas of child abuse and neglect.  Sensitivity to students in need and the ability to communicate effectively with students, adults and community agencies.  Preferred county-wide knowledge of community resources.

Other Skills & Abilities:   
Thorough knowledge of the policies, procedures, methods and techniques used for assessing sociological needs of individual students; thorough knowledge of federal and state mandates and local procedures and regulations relating to social and community support programs; thorough knowledge of the principles and methodology of providing effective therapy for students; thorough knowledge of the practices, methods and techniques used in the special education process for diagnostic and evaluative procedures; thorough knowledge of federal and state mandate and local procedures and regulations relating to special education program; thorough skill in the use of personal computers and related software packages, hardware and peripheral equipment; ability to establish and maintain standards of behavior; excellent oral and written communication skills; ability to use data to make decisions; ability to work with and through other school personnel, parents and community agencies; ability to communicate and establish effective working relationships with students, parents, teachers and administrators.  Consistent and reliable attendance.
