Online Learning Coordinator – Administrative Intern
General Definition of Work:
The Administrative Intern as our next K-12 Online Learning Coordinator is the leader in the continued development implementation of the K-12 Falcons Online Academy. The Administrative Intern will support teaching, learning, student development, and organizational operations. The Administrative Intern will oversee district-wide programming, including policies, procedures, budgets, services and facilities while working collaboratively with administration to promote high-quality, equitable educational opportunities within Falcons Online Academy.
Essential Functions:Monitors implementation of Falcon Online Academy for K-12 online learning within Faribault Public Schools.
Coordinates the development, implementation, and evaluation of all online instructional programs.
Researches and implements evidence-based approaches to online learning and ensures that practices implemented in FPS are appropriately matched to the needs of students.
Maintain an aligned and viable online curriculum connected to in person learning opportunities.
Coordinate curriculum-writing teams when necessary and distribute any updates to all Online Instructors.
Develops partnerships and maintains relationships with service industry experts to ensure quality of products and services utilized in FPS.
Works with online/FOA instructors to ensure quality of instruction and adherence to policies and procedures.
Maintains a visible presence for teachers and students – either online or onsite at virtual learning labs/activities.
Monitors enrollment and re-enrollment processes, student progress, pacing, and completion rates, ensuring that targets are met.
Communicate with parents, families stakeholders, and support staff as needed to ensure success of students and programming.
Works with students, families, and counselors to put appropriate schedules in place for students to work towards meeting graduation requirements.
Works with Special Education, EL, Social Workers and other wrap around services to ensure individual student needs are met within online programming.
Analyzes and uses data from online learning programs to ensure continuous improvement and growth within online programs.
Designs and facilitates training for all district distance learning facilitators and teachers in addition to providing ongoing support and training to facilitators and teachers as needed.
Reviews teacher-student communication logs from the student management system.
Prepares and submits enrollment and attendance reports as mandated by the State.
Promotes and supports professional development through training, in-service, and other development
Attends training sessions and conferences to keep abreast of current practices and legal issues.
Maintains a network of peer contacts through professional organizations.
Promotes high standards and strategies and scaffolds to help students achieve those standards.
Performs other duties as assigned.

Mankato Area Public Schools has a full-time (1.00 FTEs) position available as a Lead Teacher at the PEEK Middle School ALC Program beginning with the 2022-23 school year.
Summary of Duties:
As the PEEK Lead Teacher, you will support the development and implementation of a solid academic and SEL program. In this role, you will provide Tier II and Tier III interventions for students who need more intensive levels of support for academics and SEL. In this position, you will work in collaboration with students’ home school staff and serve as a liaison between the school, families, and community organizations.
Responsibilities:
Under general supervision, coordinate unique academic learning experiences and support for students, through project-based learning and experiential education.
Under general supervision, coordinate social-emotional learning (SEL) support for students, as well as SEL professional development for staff working directly with students on your caseload.
Communicate effectively with students, parents, and school staff.
Assist with identifying students who need additional (intensive/Tier III) SEL support as it aligns with a student’s IEP.
Ability to provide Tier II and/or Tier III SEL interventions directly or through consultation with other educators and support staff. Consultation and collaboration with others are important in the development of SEL skills.
Participate in collaborative planning and case management with community agencies that support students’ abilities.
Make home visits as necessary to strengthen home-school relationships, and engage parents with students to support the student’s academic and SEL growth and progress.
Maintain professional practice and development, staying current with recent approaches to improving academics and SEL for students, staff, and families.
Gather and track data on student progress.
Work independently, with minimal supervision and guidance, in performing all assigned responsibilities in an efficient and correct manner.
Requirements:
Must hold or be eligible to obtain a valid Minnesota teaching license. Master’s degree in Education or related field preferred.
Strong interpersonal relationships with students, staff, and parents
Ability to communicate effectively in written and oral forms
Ability to develop and compile a variety of records and reports
Experience with spreadsheets and assessing data, and student data systems.
