QUALIFICATIONS:
Must hold a valid special education teaching license in either ABS or ASD in the State of Minnesota.
Teachers must be able to demonstrate the highest commitment to student achievement and effective development.
Teachers must have the willingness to adapt to becoming part of a total school effort in educating our students.
Teachers must have a demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with other staff members, students and parents in providing and promoting positive relationships.
Teachers must be of the highest integrity with a strong commitment to modeling excellence in all aspects of the teacher/student/parent relationships.

Assistant Director of Student Support Services

Essential Duties of the Position Include:

Leadership and Planning: Interprets and supervises the implementation of district policies and its mission, provides leadership and direction in the planning, implementation, development, organization, growth under the direction of the department director. Prepares reports required by supervisors and state and federal agencies.  Ensures that proper documentation is maintained for students receiving special services.  Provides consultation to district principals, licensed staff, and paraprofessionals in the proper interpretation of special education due process according to state and federal law.

Employee Development: Recruits, hires, supervises and evaluates employees, licensed and non-licensed.  Develops and aligns employee development opportunities and induction that adheres to laws and the district mission.

Assistant Director of Business Services

Essential Duties of the Position Include:

Financial Affairs: Supervises the day-to-day activities of department employees to ensure an orderly workflow, compliance with generally accepted accounting procedures and effective use of available resources. Coordinates preparation of the school district’s budget and the annual external audit.  Develops and maintains the district’s cash management system.  Creates and maintains the district’s accounting systems and processes.  Facilitates all district financial state and federal compl;iance reporting.

Personnel: Recruits and hires business office staff.  Conducts performance evaluations and assists staff with establishing development goals.

1.0   FTE – Signing Interpreter              Starting August 2022

7 hours/day                  8:00 AM – 3:00 PM

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

-Must hold current interpreter and transliterator certificates awarded by the Registry of Interpreters for the Deaf (RID), or the general level interpreter proficiency certificate awarded by the National Association of the Deaf (NAD), or a comparable state certification from the commissioner of education; and satisfactorily complete and interpreter/transliterator training program affiliated with an accredited educational institution.

-Provide services for students in regular education settings.

-Facilitator of communication between the student who is Deaf Hard of Hearing and the mainstream teachers and students.

-Interpreter is a member of the educational team and works closely with the classroom teacher, teacher of the deaf and hard of hearing, and other specialist.

-Educational interpreter attends individual education plan (IEP) meetings and provides input related to the student’s communication needs and abilities.

-Demonstrate the highest commitment to student achievement and effective development.

-Willingness to adapt to becoming part of a total school effort in educating our students.

-Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with other staff members, students and parents in providing and promoting positive relationships.

Dean of Students at Faribault Middle School

General Definition of Work:
The Dean of Students will support the operations of the school overseeing the student management, behavior and attendance. Incumbent will be responsible for student management as outlined by the building principal. This position will observe and interact with individuals, groups and communities to assist with the healthy functioning of the students at the school. This key team member will collaborate with the principals and other support personnel in order to build positive relationships with stakeholders, collaborate and communicate effectively through a variety of methods, provide leadership of behavior management and supervision; facilitate the resolution of conflict; plan, organize and manage time and resources, and related work as apparent or assigned. Work is performed under the limited supervision of the Principal. This position will begin immediately upon hire.

Essential Functions:

Assist the building Principal in establishing, implementing and evaluating effective interventions for increasing student success and achievement to build a positive environment for achieving educational outcomes.
Assists the building Principal as an instructional leader in overseeing programs; collaborate with the team, collaborate with the counseling departments, oversee student behavior and student management as directed by building principal, oversee student conduct and attendance, assist in leading curriculum and planning within building.
Monitor and communicate student progress with students, families, administrators and staff.
Support growth of students while working towards positive citizenship, improving their academic and behavior skills and abilities.
Analyze academic and behavior data collected from various records to help determine effective academic and behavioral interventions.
Serve as a member of various building teams and act as a liaison; assists staff, students and families in understanding building and district policies, procedures and requirements.
Create an environment where children from diverse backgrounds are comfortable and experience success.
Stay current with best practices research and strategies.
Other duties may be assigned.
