An Elementary teaching position is currently available to teach upper elementary grade levels via online learning for the 2021-22 school year, beginning August 24, 2021.
Minnesota K-6 elementary teaching license is required, experience teaching upper level elementary students preferred.
This position is full-time and based out of Mahtomedi Middle School. Salary and benefits are part of the Para Master Agreement.
Working with students in math during intervention time. Support teachers and students in an environment to help foster social and academic learning
To develop students’ interest, abilities, talents and skills for artistic expression and creativity in the visual arts, as well as aesthetic understanding and appreciation by implementing culturally proficient and cross-curricular curriculum; documenting teaching and student progress/activities/outcomes; developing meaningful lesson plans; modeling the necessary skills to performing assigned tasks; providing a safe, fun and optimal learning environment; and providing feedback to students, parents and administration regarding student progress, expectations, goals, etc.
The successful candidate will be an individual who:
· Speaks Spanish proficiently
· has experience with and interested in cultural and language acquisition
· has a strong desire to work with K-6 school students and teach the knowledge and skills in art, including crafts, drawing, painting, lettering, design, commercial art, art history, and three-dimensional art to primary school pupils, and other appropriate learning activities.
· Want to work in multi-lingual and multi-cultural school community
· be familiar with assessment for learning practices as well as how to provide appropriate interventions for students
· has the ability to collaborate with their colleagues to discuss instruction and assessment to meet the needs of the students
· possess a sense of responsibility for the learning of all of the students
· has experience with technology strongly desired.

0.5 FTE Behavior Specialist position to teach social skills and behavior management techniques, working with students grades K-4 at Northpoint Elementary School, primarily with Autsism Spectrum Disorders and some Emotional Behavioral Disorders.

Duties of this job include, but are not limited to:Develop and provide direct social, emotional, and behavior instruction.
Conduct formative assessment, and monitor progress, to guide instructional planning.
Conduct social, emotional, and behavioral assessments as part of triannual special education evaluations.
Consult with general and special education staff.
Maintain student records of services provided.
Participate in IEP and evaluation summary meetings.
