Superintendent/Elementary Principal

The McGregor Independent School District’s main office is in McGregor, Minnesota. The school district has an approximate enrollment of 477 pre-kindergarten through grade twelve students.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

The McGregor School Board seeks an experienced school administrator who: is a “people person” with proven abilities in human relations and communications; has knowledge of and experience with special needs and a diverse student body; develops and directs an effective leadership team; uses curriculum and other resources to improve test scores; works cooperatively with the School Board and provides options and recommendations for the School Board’s consideration. Previous school principal experience is helpful. Previous superintendent experience is preferred, but not required.

SALARY/BENEFITS:

The current superintendent/elementary principal’s base salary for the 2019-2020 school year is $115,875. The final salary and benefits package will be negotiated commensurate with experience and qualifications.

Student Support Assistant (Temporary) – Secondary Building

This is a temporary position scheduled to work through June 3, 2020.  The position works 6.5 hours per day (Monday – Friday), and will follow the school calendar.

Job Summary
Under the direction of the building/department administration and/or guidance from the Student Support Specialist, supervise students in various settings and assist with managing student behaviors under established rules, policies and procedures.

Job Functions

Assist proactively with implementing individual student behavior plans.
Support managing student conflicts and behavior issues pre-emptively.
Record and manage student behavioral data.
Respond to unexpected situations as needed.
Provide overall supervision to groups or individual students.
Utilize positive behavior strategies and de-escalation techniques with students.
Be a positive role model for respectful behavior and problem solving strategies.
Communicate with students and staff in a positive and supportive manner.
Help to create and maintain positive, safe environments throughout the school building and school grounds (i.e. gym, lunchroom, classroom, hallways, playground).
Adhere to district policies and procedures.
Other duties as assigned by Supervisor and/or Principal.

The Kelliher School District is located in the North Central region of Minnesota just 15 miles south of Upper Red Lake. The school district has an enrollment of approximately 290 students grades Kindergarten through twelfth grade and steadily increasing. Kelliher by the numbers:

The Kenyon-Wanamingo Public Schools’ main office is in Wanamingo, Minnesota. The school district has an approximate enrollment of 745 pre-kindergarten through grade twelve students.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:
The School Board is committed to finding a proven leader who: has experience in school finance and school district management practices; is honest and acts in an ethical manner with the School Board, staff, and community; has knowledge of experience with special education needs and/or a diverse student body; uses curriculum and other resources to improve test scores; has knowledge of technology and web-based education curricula, and is an innovative, creative thinker. Previous superintendent experience is preferred, but not required.

SALARY/BENEFITS:
A competitive compensation and benefits package, including an annual salary in the range of $72,000 to $78,000, will be negotiated based upon the successful candidate’s experience and qualifications. The contract length is negotiable as provided in Minnesota statutes.
