Openings are available for the Graduate Teaching Fellow Program (classroom experience while working on a masters degree program in Education).  Applicants must have a Bachelor of Science or Bachelor of Arts Teaching degree in Elementary Education.

Seniors in a teacher education program who will complete all requirements for a Bachelor of Arts or Bachelor of Science Teaching degree, complete all required testing, and obtain appropriate Minnesota teacher licensure by August, 2019, or recent teacher education graduates (who have not held regular teaching appointments) are eligible to apply.  Application deadline:  until filled.

SCHOOL/COMMUNITY:     Hibbing Public Schools, Hibbing, MN
Hibbing Minnesota is located about 175 miles north of the Minneapolis/St. Paul metropolitan area.

QUALIFICATIONS:              Valid Minnesota Licensure

The School Board is seeking an ideal candidate who exhibits the following skills and attributes:

·     Strong and continuing academic background with successful experience in curriculum
·     Demonstrated ability to provide leadership for an effective staff development and assessment program
·     Community orientation and high interest in building relationships with a broad range of community groups
·     Thorough knowledge of and successful experience in school district management practices
·     Demonstrated experience and knowledge of the collective bargaining process and employment contract management
·     Human Resources Experience/knowledge
·     Current knowledge of changes in legislation and ability to help the school district engage the legislative process
·     Honesty and ethical manner in dealing with the school board, staff and community
·     Previous superintendent experience (preferred)

SALARY & CONTRACT:     The salary will be negotiated commensurate with experience and qualifications.  The contract length is negotiable as provided in Minnesota statue.
