Full-Time Custodian – Boilerman

Full-Time Custodian – Boilerman, $24.06-$28.38/hr.

Maintenance background preferred

Must have a clean Minnesota Driver’s License and be able to obtain and maintain a school bus endorsement

This posting is for a position at Falls Elementary School.

1. The person must possess or be willing to work to acquire “First Class C” boiler license. Preference will be given to applicants with boilers’ license.

2. The person must possess or be willing to acquire and maintain a clean Minnesota CDL allowing applicants to drive a school bus. Preference will be given to applicants with CDL school bus license.

3. The person may be assigned bus driving duties during the regular shift for all or part of the year.

4. The person may or may not be assigned to drive a regular morning-afternoon bus route, even if not assigned initially. In the event the person is assigned a bus route, the bus route may be withdrawn at any time for any reason.

5. The person must be mechanically inclined and have a good mechanical background. Plumbing, minor electrical, carpentry, and knowledge of HVAC systems are all benefits.

6. The position may involve partial assignments in any or all district buildings.

7. Failure to complete requirements 1 and 2 by given timelines will result in loss of position.

Grant Manager

General Definition of Work: The Grant Manager is responsible for the comprehensive management of the district’s grant acquisition and compliance efforts. This pivotal role involves identifying potential funding opportunities, developing and writing compelling grant proposals, ensuring adherence to all grant regulations and reporting requirements, and fostering strong relationships with funding agencies and internal stakeholders. The Grant Manager plays a crucial role in securing external resources to support strategic district initiatives, enhance educational programming, and provide innovative opportunities for all students. This position will report directly to the Superintendent and Finance & Operations Director.  Position is full-time, year round, in-person and/or hybrid option will be considered.

Essential Functions:

  • Grant Identification & Development:
    • Researches, identifies, and evaluates prospective grant opportunities from federal, state, local, corporate, and private foundation sources that align with the district’s mission, vision, and strategic goals.
    • Maintains an organized database of potential grants, submission deadlines, and grantor requirements.
  • Proposal Writing & Submission:
    • Develops and writes persuasive, well-researched, and clear grant proposals, narratives, project descriptions, and detailed budgets.
    • Collaborates effectively with district leadership, school administrators, teachers, and department heads to gather necessary data, define project scope, and ensure all proposals meet grantor guidelines and district needs.
    • Manages the timely and accurate submission of all grant applications, ensuring compliance with all specified procedures.
  • Grant Management & Compliance:
    • Oversees awarded grants, ensuring strict adherence to all federal, state, and grantor regulations, terms, and conditions throughout the grant period.
    • Works closely with the Business Office to monitor grant budgets, track expenditures, and ensure financial accountability and accurate reporting.
    • Establishes and maintains comprehensive record-keeping systems for all grant-related documentation.
    • Stays current with evolving grant regulations, compliance mandates, and funding trends to ensure district practices remain current.
  • Collaboration & Communication:
    • Serves as the primary liaison and point of contact for external funding organizations and internal district personnel regarding all grant-related inquiries.
    • Facilitates and leads meetings, workshops, and training sessions to educate district staff on grant opportunities, best practices in proposal development, and grant compliance.
    • Builds and nurtures collaborative relationships with funding entities, community partners, and relevant agencies.
  • Reporting & Evaluation:
    • Prepares and submits accurate, comprehensive, and timely progress reports, financial reports, and final evaluations to grantors as stipulated by grant agreements.
    • Collaborates with program implementers to collect and analyze data, assessing the effectiveness and impact of grant-funded projects and ensuring outcomes align with original objectives.

  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with a superior ability to articulate complex ideas clearly and persuasively.
  • Strong research, analytical, and critical thinking skills to identify opportunities and assess program effectiveness.

The Director oversees the district’s Effective Instruction (EI) department, curriculum development cycles, professional learning systems, school culture and climate, and Multi-Tiered Systems of Support (MTSS). Responsibilities
Principal Leadership Development and Support
Provide coaching and leadership development support for school principals, fostering their professional growth and ensuring alignment with district-wide initiatives.
Facilitate professional learning communities (PLCs) for building leaders focused on instructional leadership, school improvement, and equity-centered practices.
Support principals in developing and implementing professional learning plans and in aligning school goals with district priorities.
Develop and implement effective systems for principal onboarding, mentorship, and continuous growth.
Effective Instruction and Curriculum Leadership

Provide leadership for the Effective Instruction (EI) team, overseeing curriculum development cycles, instructional strategies, and professional learning for staff.
Drive the implementation of effective instructional practices, including those outlined in the Literacy/READ Act.
Lead regular curriculum reviews to ensure alignment with district goals, state standards, and the diverse needs of students.
Serve as the district lead for curriculum and instruction-related initiatives, including instructional materials procurement and support for design teams
Lead the integration of instructional technology and digital tools in ways that support student learning and are aligned with equity-focused pedagogy.
Multi-Tiered Systems of Support (MTSS) Leadership

Lead the development, implementation, and ongoing refinement of a comprehensive K–12 MTSS framework for academics, behavior, and social-emotional learning.
Ensure the effective use of universal screeners to identify student needs across all schools.
Oversee the development and implementation of evidence-based Tier 2 and Tier 3 interventions.
Establish and oversee progress monitoring systems to assess student response to interventions and make adjustments as needed.
Provide professional development and coaching to staff on MTSS principles, practices, and data-driven decision-making at the district, school, and classroom levels.
Culture and Climate Leadership

Cultivate a positive, inclusive, and supportive district and school culture that fosters belonging, dignity, and high expectations for all students and staff
Partner with principals to develop school-based practices that support healthy school climates, including restorative practices and staff wellness initiatives.
Lead and support district programs, including Title, Achievement and Integration, ADSIS, and Gifted services, that promote inclusive, effective learning environments and ensure equitable access for all students
Champion and support efforts that advance inclusive staff and student engagement practices aligned with the district’s mission, values, and equity commitments.
Organizational and Systems Leadership

Build and maintain systems that support principals, school leaders, and department leads in managing instructional priorities, school culture initiatives, and continuous improvement efforts.
Design benchmarks and metrics to assess school, department, and area progress aligned with the district’s success metrics and strategic plan.
Provide technical guidance and support to staff, vendors, consultants, and grant partners while ensuring compliance with grant policies and procedures.
Stay current with educational research, policy developments, and emerging trends through self-directed learning and professional development.
Contribute to the district’s overall success by performing additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Required: Minnesota Superintendent License, or currently in process of obtaining it.
Demonstrated success in coaching and developing school principals or other building leaders.
Proven experience in leading large-scale educational initiatives and driving systemic change.
Demonstrated commitment to educational equity, diversity, and inclusion.
Extensive experience in the design and delivery of professional development.
Knowledge of curriculum development, instructional leadership, and the implementation of the Effective Instruction framework.
Deep understanding and successful implementation of Multi-Tiered Systems of Support (MTSS).
Ability to analyze and utilize assessment data to inform instructional decisions, drive school improvement, and monitor student progress within an MTSS framework.

Faribault Education Center (FEC) Coordinator

Job Description: Faribault Public Schools Community Education is seeking a full-time coordinator position to oversee students, staff, volunteers, and programming at the Faribault Education Center. This year-round position is on a 230-day contract and requires flexibility in scheduling based on events; but must include one or two evenings per week. Salary range is $80,500 – $92,000 dependent on candidate experience and qualifications.

Essential Functions: 

  •  Oversee all operations of the Faribault Education Center, ensuring a welcoming, inclusive, and efficient learning environment.
  • Act as the building head, managing day-to-day operations, facility use, safety protocols, and serving as the point of contact for all building-related matters.
  • Lead budget planning and financial oversight for adult education and related programs.
  • Recruit, hire, supervise, and support FEC staff, including instructors, program managers, office staff, and volunteers.
  • Develop innovative programming and course offerings that are responsive to the evolving needs of adult learners and the broader community.
  • Attend Southeast ABE consortium meetings to support regional collaboration and program alignment.
  • Ensure compliance with state and federal funding, including grant requirements and reporting procedures.
  • Collaborate with district leadership and community partners to identify and respond to community education needs.
  • Analyze program data and outcomes to guide strategic decision-making and continuous improvement.
  • Support centralized student registration and promote equitable access to education.
  • Promote a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous learning among staff and program participants.

Qualifications: 

  •  Previous leadership experience in education, adult learning, or community-based programming
