ACES Program Coordinator, School-Aged Childcare

Mankato Area Public Schools Community Education and Recreation Department has a position available for an ACES Program Coordinator, School-Aged Childcare. This is a full-time, 12-month, non-affiliated position with Category II benefits.  Salary range of $58,594 – $61,860.62.  Please see attached job description.

Summary of Duties:
Coordinator will recruit, train and supervise staff; oversee  the marketing, the implementation and evaluation of program activities and objectives; monitor program functions to assure compliance with district policies,  state and federal laws or guidelines pertaining to school-aged child care.

Required Qualifications:4 year college degree in Human Resources, Child Development, Education, Recreation or closely related field
A minimum of two years experience as a child care program manager
Experience hiring, training and supervising childcare staff
Demonstrated skills in planning, budgeting and communication
PREFERRED:Experience with Eleyo or equivalent online childcare registration program
Experience working with county childcare assistance programs

Coding & Robotics Teacher

Job Description: Candidate will teach 6th, 7th and 8th grade students in a nine week course designed to give students hands-on experience in problem-solving, teamwork, and project-based learning.  The course encompasses units:  Design and Modeling, The Science of Technology, Automation and Robotics, Lego Mindstorm, Robolab, and Lego Robotics. This position commences with the 2018-2019 school year on August 27, 2018.

Director, Buildings & Grounds/Health & Safety

Job Description: Faribault Public Schools is seeking outstanding candidates for a full-time Director of Buildings, Grounds, Health & Safety to begin June 2018.  The successful candidate for this leadership position will lead the district in creating a safe, secure, healthy and clean environment for students, staff and community members. This Director will be responsible for maintaining all facilities of the district, managing construction and renovations, planning and directing the health and safety programs, managing security and emergency programs and supervising the maintenance, custodial and grounds teams.  This Director will be part of a leadership team which supports and encourages community involvement with district goals and building school/community pride. The Director provides robust support to various committees serving as either the chair or contributing member (Facility Committee, Health & Safety Committee, etc.).

Essential Functions:   Plans, supervises, directs and initiates recommendations to the Director of Finance & Operations concerning operational components such as custodial processes and procedures,  Long Term Facilities Maintenance and health & safety. Develops and implements all district facilities, health & safety, security, grounds and maintenance goals. Manages the day-to-day prioritization, assignment, planning, development, scheduling and coordination of cleaning and  deferred and preventive maintenance. Implements district security policies and procedures, and trains staff in security systems and security protocol. Oversees and develops departmental budgets; reviews and approves grants and related budgets, maintains district-wide capital funds.  Collaborates with all administrative departments to insure robust inter-departmental communication, budgeting and protocols. Provides support to building administrators with regards to all facility needs.
