Intervention Teacher

Foley Intermediate School is taking applications for an Academic Intervention Teaching position FTE 1.0 for the 2018-19 school year.

Duties and Responsibilities:

· Foley Intermediate School is seeking a candidate to work with at-risk and underachieving students. We are looking for someone with good communication skills and the ability to analyze and interpret data. This person will work with students in grades 4-8, assisting them with basic Reading, Math, study and organizational skills.
· Work as a team member in writing academic intervention plans
· Have experience with Personalized Learning,, balanced literacy and guided reading
· Serve as a member of the Problem Solving Team in planning, developing and implementing
academic intervention programs including strategies
· Assess student’s area of need and determine appropriate intervention tools
· Develop and maintain benchmark and progress monitoring data on 4-8th grade students
· Other duties as determined

Qualifications:
· Teachers with a MN license in Reading are preferred
· At least 1-2 years’ experience working in a collaborate environment that requires decision making, critical thinking and detailed written documentation/ record keeping would be ideal

Job Duties and Responsibilities:
Student Attendance, Contracts, & Truancy

  • Interpret attendance data and assist students in addressing challenges associated with attendance.
  • Oversee record keeping and communications associated with the student attendance contracts, school’s attendance policies, and procedures for students.
  • Coordinate all truancy procedures based on the requirements of a student’s county of residence.
  • Consult and collaborate effectively with families, teachers, administrators, and other educational and community resources to address student issues and needs.

Student Behavior

  • Assist students in identifying proper decorum for a school setting.
  • Implement positive behavioral interventions and strategies to assist students in meeting behavior expectations and resolving conflicts.
  • Implement school policies and procedures regarding student decorum to maintain a positive, productive, and safe environment.
  • Maintain complete, accurate, and compliant communication and documentation of work with students and does so in a timely manner.
  • Participate in school based multidisciplinary team meetings and events that support student achievement and identify individual student intervention needs (Examples include Child Study, 504, and Attendance).
  • Accurately and appropriately utilize and interpret student data, as well as assist others to do so.

Student Safety

  • Coordinate all school emergency drills.

School Audiologist

CESA 11 (West-Central Wisconsin) is seeking applications for a full time Educational Audiologist to work in the CESA 11 School Districts.  The Educational Audiologist serves as an itinerant consultant to school districts, providing direct and indirect services.

Responsibilities:

-Participates in screenings of students with suspected hearing impairments.

-Orders, maintains and provides consultation regarding equipment and other assistive devices for students with hearing loss.
-Communicates and coordinates with parents, service providers and school districts.
-Provides staff development opportunities related to students with hearing loss.
-Attends all meetings scheduled by the Low Incidence Supervisor.
-Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

-Possesses a valid Audiologist License through the Department of Public Instruction and the State of Wisconsin Hearing and Speech Examining Board.
-Possesses a Certificate of Clinical Competence through the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association.
-Possesses a valid driver’s license.
-Ability to facilitate meetings and/or present information in a group setting.
-Ability to apply in-depth knowledge of special education record keeping, principles, practices, and procedures.
-Ability to apply in-depth knowledge of deaf and hard of hearing services and assistive listening devices.
-Ability to apply in-depth knowledge of current technology.
-Ability to establish effective working relationships with staff, other agencies and the public.
-Ability to analyze complicated special education needs and situations, and provide sound advice and recommendations.
