Kids First Boys/Girls Assistant Track Coach

The Kids First/Owatonna Middle School after school athletic program is seeking an Assistant Boys/Girls Track Coach.  Responsibilities include supporting youth in daily practice and weekly competition schedules.  Provide bus supervision for all out-of-town competitions, and locker room supervision throughout the season.  Build quality relationships with middle school youth and maintain cooperative partnerships with paid and volunteer coaches, and program support personnel.  Build a strong communication network with program staff, parents, and community.  Provide inventory management of all supplies, equipment, and uniforms.  Provide personal and program schedule changes to the Community Education Youth Coordinator in advance of occurrence, in cooperation with Head Coach.  Number of positions available depending on final student registration.

Position Requirements:
High school diploma or GED.  Two or four-year degree in an education-related field preferred.  Track coaching experience and knowledge, specifically skill development.  Excellent inter/intra-personal skills.  Focus on leadership and the community of Owatonna as a whole are highly desired.  Strong technology skills beneficial. Consistent and reliable attendance is required.
